Well yeah, Halo was put to rest with Reach. Which is nice, ending it with the way it all began.

Not really a surprise. Sure, bungie ran away, but microsoft can always get some more revenue with that saga.

I'm interested in the plot, not so much in actually playing it.

Apparently an entire new trilogy, so I'm told.
I anticipate it to follow the lines of the CoD franchise and go real stale, real fast.

Yeah, the plot is interesting, I have four of the books.
But I think Halo, as a video game, it's run it's course, made it's mark.

I haven't played a Halo game thoroughly since Halo 2. Can't stand them any more.

I was disgusted away from the franchise at Halo 2's blatant cliffhanger ending, which was leagues below Halo 1's. Don't really care about 4.


I was kind of excited about the Halo 1 remake, but thinking about it, I don't really see what they'll be able to add, other than better graphics and sound, without ruining the core gameplay and atmosphere that made the game so extraordinary. Maybe update the engine, the AI, et al, but again, I think that it'll ultimately add ♥♥♥♥ all to the experience.

Wait what. MC suddenly has a rocket pack after drifting in space for however long?

As far as subtle and not so subtle armor changes in the series I'm actually willing to let the boost pack go. I imagine there would be zero G maneuvering equipment standardized for most UNSC systems on a UNSC space craft.

Now, that whole Dead Space feel he's got going on around his ribs, that I'm having trouble seeing an explanation for.

Why didn't he use those jets in Halo 2, when he was moving the bomb to the other ship?

Or any of the other times where they would have been extremely useful? Like fighting scarabs.

Maybe for the same reason his armour changed designs between Halos 2 & 3.
I never understood that.
