Half of the barrel is actually a separate part from the weapon and it broke without me noticing, so balls to that.

Also yeah, the legs are from a model I stripped with motor oil. Worked rather well. I mean, the paint didn't completely come off, but the thick parts came off rather well.

This really is my favorite miniature so far. It's just so goddamn chunky and represents almost perfectly a heavily armored super-human.

Do you highlight your lensens or is that a reflection in the quite glossy paint?

Nope, it's a highlight. Only the yellow paint is glossy.


Also, I actually really wanted to find some washes, but not a single hobby store I went to could get ahold of citadel paints. Unless I manage to import it, (which, due to the high shipping cost, is not worth it unless I buy a lot of stuff at once) I'll have to keep going with solid colours.

I've thought of mailing you some, but the weird shape makes it hella expensive.

Well yeah, that's the price you gotta pay for sending something halfway across the world. I've found that it's slightly cheaper if I import them from the US, so maybe that's an option.

Fun fact: shipping costs for GW are not based on the product size. It's the same thing for a single can of paint or an entire battleforce.

Our mailing services are notorious for the cost. A package from 0.1 grams to a kilo costs exactly the same.

And since they are paint pots it really wouldn't be clever to stuff them in an envelop.

Now, for something completely different than that.
It seems the infamous price increase has finally reached us. The new resin models cost about five bucks more, and some other stuff had their price increased by one or two pounds.
...not as bad as I thought it would be, I guess? The main downside is that Shadowsun didn't get a resin conversion.

Damn it, I completely forgot that bits and kits were having a sale. Dreadnoughts were on for about 10 quid and pretty much everything else has a 34% discount.

Ladies and gentlemen, I'm going to town.

As someone who has bought AOBR, it is a fairly good deal, and they balance it in such a way that it's possible to win as Orks, even with Marines having higher points value.

Biggest reason? They 1. Give you a dreadnought, and 2. Give it a multi melta, which is by far the worst thing to give it, so it helps. Otherwise a dreadnought with an assault cannon would completely destroy the Orks.

I recommend you purchase/Download both Codexes, whatever they may be for marines and Orks (Space Wolf/Blood Angel/Vanilla Marines/Dark Angels/Black Templars are the variants, I'm possibly forgetting some) before playing a serious match, as with the starter rules they give the Orks don't access most of their special rules that mean they won't get torrented and then run away screaming.

The box itself comes with anything you need to start playing immediately, templates, rules, models, etc.
