Re: Art Dump
hey geti, i loved this image. great pose and character etc i hope you dont mind, i thought id do a quick paint over to show you where i think things were looking a little off. i think it has alot to do with the eyes you give your characters, they look like an eye viewed from the front, but stuck on the side of his head, which throws the anatomy off. im not a great artist so somethings will be wrong, anway hope its ok i did this...

Re: Art Dump
Not sure if it is good enough for the art dump with all the awesome stuff you guys are linking! Anyway, I seem to run out of patience when I sit down to try and make something. What do you guys do to alleviate this?

Re: Art Dump
I usually put down whatever I'm working on and pick up something else. Or just go watch a movie/play a game, then get back to it later.

Re: Art Dump
As someone who has next to no patience, I just drop something I'm wearing thin on to never return to it again. I only sometimes go back to stuff.

Re: Art Dump
Just push through the boredom. Whatever your creating is far more important that what the exciting things your friends are (not) doing on Facebook. Alternatively, get some joggers on and go for a run in the fresh air to clear your mind. heres a portrait i did of my mate (clicky)

That's perfectly valid. The eye was supposed to be looking sideways at a fairly extreme angle but I still drew it too wide :/ Cheers for the edit Your newest portrait is very good, very nice shading on the face, seems like it could use a little more of that on the body even if it is at a lower "detail resolution" - it makes the image a little inconsistent. Re: boredom - I do a mixture of "sticking it out" and what lizard does, picking up something else and working on that.

Re: Art Dump
Actually, Roast Veg, I'm pretty sure Yoman was talking about something a bit more recent. I'm still working on it, but since it's been mentioned I'll put it up here...

We should totally get sketches of all the characters in Blueniverse.

Believe it or not, I'm going for a slightly phoenix wright-esque style.

...which leads to the fact that you're now morally obliged to animate your sprite and use it in a Blue text adventure/dating sim.
