Valid point. Knowing my luck its probably a remote control self destruct for my bot. Then again, it could be the crates self destruct.

Or, y'know, it's actually just a bomb to test whether the VNWarrior will survive a decent explosion. But yeah, be optimistic

Re: Roll 2 Dodge - (Evil58 Good175)
Sorry guys, I would have rolled yesterday, but I was too busy hiding in my bunker, awaiting the earthquakes of the rapture. Roll incoming.
I HEAR YOU LIKE PLOT DEVELOPMENT ------------------------------------------------- =========================== ------------------------------------------------- dragonxp/Advere Alexander (Roll: 2)
Advere reaches out with his mind to find more animals to mind-control, but the effort is fruitless. The piranha seem to block his attempts, the ants are all dead, and most of the other animals were driven out by the massive fight. Passive Abilities CQC (+1 to rolls involving close quarters actions) Light Step (+1 to rolls involving stealth or sneaking) Magneto Field (A magnetic field that deflects enemy bullets.) -Only when blurred Techniques Death Stare: Paralyze enemies with a terrifying gaze. Cost = 10 Energy Dark Blur: Turn into the Dark Blur. Cost = 30 Energy Shadow Hurl: Hurl out tangible shadows against your foes. Cost = 20 Energy Shadow Wave: Create an explosive shockwave with a condensed ball of dark energy. Cost = 30 Energy Annihilation: Unleash Godly fury with this high-energy attack; leaves you unable to fight for 1 turn. Cost = 80 Energy Weapons Lamina Tenebraum M16A4 Rifle (30 rounds/90 spare rounds) L9A1 High-Power Pistol (13 rounds/39 spare rounds ) Machete Inventory 3 M67 Grenades Full canteen of water (3 uses, restores Energy) Hat and sunglasses Condition(s) Energy: 100 / 100
Ragdollmaster/Damien (Roll: 4)
Damien makes it up the slope before the rest of the blur group, and catches a glimpse of the soldiers clearly visible in the distance. One of his comrades- a newcomer to the group- raises a Dragunov rifle and commands everyone to fire simultaneously. "Wait! We have to coordinate this for it to be effective, if we can even do it. And I'm not sure that we can." The sniper looks indignant. "Hey, I know what I'm doing, kid." All the same, he lowers his weapon and waits for Damien's response. Damien raises his rifle and puts the scope to his eye to better see what's going on in the distance. "...there's ten of them, by my count. Too many for us...?" (Continued in Game Events) Passive Abilities Marksman (+1 to rolls involving long-range combat) First-Aid (+1 to rolls involving healing actions) Null Field: An energy field that incinerates projectiles. -Only when blurred Hyperion Edge: A powerful light sword that spawns automatically with blur formation. -Only when blurred Dragoon Wings: Strong wings made out of light that spawn automatically with blur formation. -Only when blurred Techniques Blur Morph: Turn into the Light Blur. Cost = 30 Energy Blast: Generate a kinetic shockwave. Cost = 20 Energy Panacea: Heal any and all injuries. Cost = 50 Energy Sun Tendrils: Streams of tangible light. Cost = 20 Energy Tsunami: Generates waves of burning light that rapidly expand in all directions. Cost = 50 Energy Weapons Barret M107 CQAM Rifle (5 rounds/50 spare rounds) FA-MAS (30 rounds/60 spare rounds) Conditions Deadly Venom (Unpreventable death in 3 turns when activated) Energy: 0 / 100
Commodore111/Frederic von Werner-Tietzen (Roll: 6+1 = DIVISION BY ZERO)
Frederic raises the M240 and squeezes the trigger just as Damien tells Ruben to hold off on firing. Luckily, the big weapon isn't even loaded with any ammunition at the moment. "Whoops." Passive Abilities Juggernaut (Increased health and endurance, reduces all damage taken) Commando (+1 to rolls involving killing/shooting at animals/people; less affected by recoil and weight) Awareness (Increased perception, less likely to be surprised by traps or ambushes) Life Detection (+1 to rolls searching for people or vital signs) Strong Arm (+1 to rolls involving throws; doesn't stack with "Knife Throw") Techniques Knife Throw (+2 to knife throw rolls) Burst (+1 to a roll, removes negative modifiers temporarily; -2 to next roll) Weapons M240 w/ Foregrip & EOTech Holo-Sight (0 rounds/300 spare rounds) Upgraded Mini-Uzi (Kinetically Charged Battery: 80%) Combat Knife Ban Ali Obsidian Spear Inventory First Aid Kit Binoculars N.V.G. Heavy Kevlar Armor (Woodland Camo) GPS Atomic Watch 5 C4 Charges w/ detonator Conditions
Requisite/David (Roll: 5-1 = 4)
David tries to focus the Reactive Energy with his body's own adrenaline to create... something. Nothing really happens, though. Reactive Energy is designed to automatically intercept close-range threats, and his adrenaline isn't enough of a catalyst to trigger it. Even if it was, it would most likely just attack his own body. ":C" Passive Abilities Athletic (+1 to mobile actions) CQC (+1 to close quarters' actions) Knife Mastery (+1 to knife attacks; stacks with CQC) Reactive Energy (Automatically attacks incoming threats. Four uses. [****]) Techniques Long Jump (+1 to jumping) Weapons Magpul PDR (30 rounds/90 spare rounds) MGL-140 loaded w/ High Explosive Grenades (6 rounds/16 spare rounds) -Anti-Tank Grenades (5 rounds/0 discs) Trench Knife Inventory Shoulder Bag: -Rations -Comprehensive First-Aid Kit Conditions
dhart5000/Wilson Cole (Roll: 2)
Wilson reloads all of his weapons in preparation for the assault. Passive Abilities Charismatic (+1 when interacting with people) Tactical Mind (+1 when carrying out plans) Blade Mastery (+1 to rolls using heavy blades, like machetes and scimitars) Techniques Dark Hands (Makes dark energy envelop hands. Four uses. [****]) Double Slash (Roll twice for blade attacks, take the larger roll.) Weapons M4A1 (30 rounds/132 spare rounds) -M230 Underslung Grenade Launcher (1 round/6 grenades) MAC-10 (32 rounds/96 spare rounds) Composite Scimitar Inventory Backpack: -N.V.G. -$2.74 in loose change Conditions
Hyperkultra/Blue Demon (Roll: 3)
Blue Demon yanks Cohlichimarde out of the earth and then turns, staring over the hill at the soldiers. "Hm. Taking them out should be fun."
NPC/Die Angelus (Roll: 4)
Die sighs when she hears slight bickering going on behind her between the two snipers and whirls around. "Shut up. If you have a plan, tell us what it is instead of arguing like children. We're too far in this to screw up now over something as ridiculously petty as a difference of opinions."
Game Events "OK, listen up. We've got ten of them out there. There's thirteen of us. Taking them out wouldn't be a big issue if we were closer. But..." Damien looks out to where the soldiers are patrolling- the opposite ridge, which is quite a ways away. "Regular weapons fire isn't very effective at this distance. I don't think two snipers can take out ten guys before one of them calls for reinforcements. I doubt even the heavy weapons of that mech and the guy in the exoskeleton are accurate enough to get them all. I think it's too risky. We'll reveal our position and get swarmed by the better part of an army- that's probably just a reconnaissance force.""Damien, can you tell what faction they belong to from this distance?" Die Angelus asks suddenly. He puts the scope back up to his eye and zooms in a little farther. "French. Just like those others...""Others? What others?" Damien slings the rifle down. "Before we met up with you, our group got into a bit of a skirmish with an enormous crocodile, almost as big as the ones in the swamp. It took out a group of French and Chinese troops, after we'd made a kind of peace treaty with them.""Wait, wait, wait; French AND Chinese? Dammit, how many people know about this tree?" Die Angelus is silent. "More than I'd like. That's why we need to take that damn thing out. I have no idea how many forces are advancing on this position. And then there's the problem of the Ban Ali...""We took them out before, though. Why are they an issue?""Tch. Those were advance guards. Lower-ranks. All of the insane and extremely powerful warriors stay as close to the tree as they can- they're not exactly going to let us stroll in and chop it down." The group hushes, contemplating the immense task in front of them- they might have to fight through forces of multiple nationalities just to get to the tree. Is it really worth it? Die Angelus speaks again: "Why don't you two, Damien and... whatever your name is," she says, pointing at Ruben, "Take out as many of those bastards as you can? Yeah, they'll call in reinforcements, but they won't get here any quicker than they will anyways. They already know they've got a fight on their hands. We might as well get the first hit in. As soon as they're all dead or hiding behind cover, we'll need to get a move on."
