Any advice on killing the Eye of Cthulhu? I don't summon it, but it keeps killing me. There I was harmlessly burning forests to expand my empire, when I felt an evil presence behind me, and turned to see the eye looming over me. I tried to shuriken it to death, but i was trapped in my house

Tips? (For reference; the highest level item thingy I have is probably my boomerang)

If you 'feel an evil presence' (the message pops up in the corner), then it means a boss spawns by you. You can get it while you're mining, too, and it won't pop up there because that isn't its biome. Then you forget it was ever there and die/go back to the surface and get raped.

So yeah in the first 30 hours of release I logged 21 hours on this. I might be slightly obsessed.
Also ♥♥♥♥ year full hellstone gear. Absolutely sucks for pvp but who does that anyway, rapes and pillages npcs.

The reason you guys are getting Eye summons is possible due to the amount of Eyes you are killing. The more Demon Eyes you kill, the higher chance of an Eye attacking?

And to kill the Cthulu Eye, keep running left and right throwing shuriken at it. This is to dodge when he decides to charge.

When I fight the Eye, I go up to a long platform I made for finding floating islands, run back and forth throwing stuff at it, having the Hermes Boots helps as well.

Fought an Eater of Worlds. Chopped it in half. Falling star hit both in the head, killed both.
