Re: MW3
Goddamnit. There's only so many guns in the present day they can chuck in there, what's going to be new about it (this is a serious question)?
I'll probably rent/borrow it for the single player, at least.

Re: MW3
Haha yeah, i am really hoping for the Ak to be a bit better than it was in MW2, and for the ACR to still be there. They could do things like the G36C, that would be cool

Re: MW3
Wait, what did I miss, didn't the old team still own the rights to the name Modern warfare? Weren't they sick of activision?
On a more game related note; please let it be half as good as MW.

Re: MW3
I want to say "eh I don't have my hopes up I might not buy this one"
but I will. I already have a 60 dollar boner in my pants, right in my wallet.

Re: MW3
Lol it's going to use the same engine as MW2.
Cmdr 5ir you should really go play some good games and realize that call of duty isn't one.
Also, you kill Makarov in a quick time event. PRESS LEFT MOUSE BUTTON TO KILL MAKAROV.

Re: MW3
I have to agree, what can they add to a new modern warfare? Why not move on to some sci fi or something else entirely?

Re: MW3
And more ridiculous perks that make the multiplayer even more hectic. IMO the Call of Duty games have been ♥♥♥♥ after the original Modern Warfare, which was quite good.

Robert Bowling - "Someone just needs to spend the $ and construct a new engine for the CoD franchise... Ground up. That would be counter productive. An engine takes years and years to develop and get right."

Re: MW3
I know its the cool thing to hate on the popular, mainstream things, but I am unashamed to say that I honestly enjoy Call of Duty 4, MW2, and Black Ops. They are good games to me. I've played Battlefield and TF2 and all those less mainstream so called "good games" and I don't find them fun or interesting at all.
MW2 especially has this stigma when it is in fact as good as if not better than CoD4, once you take out OMA Toobs. MW2 managed to balance out the M16 which was borderline OP in CoD4, in fact MW2 has fantastic gun balance. You hear people see "all the guns are overpowered!" as if it's a bad thing. All of the guns are overpowered. Equally overpowered. I can't think of a single gun which really stands out against the rest like the M16 did in CoD4. MW2 also fixed CoD4's insane grenades, which were basically hand held predator missiles if anyone remembers. It was a trivial skill to reflexively throw a grenade at a blip on the minimap. Remember Shipment and Wetwork? 3x Frag + Martyrdom everyday.
MW2 had much better perk balance as well. Who the hell used Double Tap or CoD4's Sleight of Hand or Eavesdrop? All of MW2's perks have their place, even Scrambler.
Even spawn trapping wasn't any better, we just know how to do it better now.
MW2 had a few glaring flaws, but aside from that it was almost perfect. They were working on the problems like Care Package Glitch and Javelin Glitch and 1887's. If those greedy bastards at Activision had blasted apart IW we would have that perfect game.

Re: MW3
Yeah I enjoyed mw2, but it's not an exceedingly good game tbh. The fact that they are releasing a game each year isn't helping much.
Also contrary, mainstream has nothing to do with a game being good or bad.

Re: MW3
I like over the top action games like MW2. A silly game that takes itself seriously is a pretty excellent exhaust when well executed.

The style of play that CoD generally does fairly well is quite popular, but that doesn't make it any worse. If you enjoy it that shouldn't be held against you.
