 Re: Art Dump
maybe if there's a sunset behind it and an explosion in front of it it might kind of possibly sort of make sense

That dragon made me think of the older Spyro games but with better shading!

 Re: Art Dump
Hey, I know what you're talking about. The big dragons that came from statues, and told you how to play the game? Those were the best games in the series, with their "amazing" graphics...
Actually, those were great graphics at the time. I don't even care about graphics, since I'm addicted to Spelunky and Minecraft.

 Re: Art Dump
Spelunky and Minecraft both have better graphics than the Spyros for the GBA...

 Re: Art Dump
made this weird looking avatar, but it's too big to use in most places so i scaled it. the fullsize is small enough to use at DRL but i don't feel like it.

 Re: Art Dump
Looks good, Urch. It would be cool with something to prelude the "Access Denied", such as a password input screen or something. Not necessary, though. Again, looks very good!

You're entitled to that opinion, but as the fidelity of the graphics has nothing to do with the worth of them I'd suggest steering clear of such implications in the future. Spelunky has pretty good pixel art (a few issues here and there but still good) and minecraft's graphics are very intuitive as far as describing what an object is is concerned. If those games actually had genuinely "bad" graphics and read about as well as this then you'd probably find that you do "care about graphics". Just some food for thought, I get annoyed when people say then don't care about how good a game's graphics are when it's practically a requirement that a game gives you proper visual feedback for it to be playable. You might not require photorealistic rendering or excellent pixel art or masterpiece handpainted assets or whatever but those aren't actually the only factors contributing to whether the graphics of a game are satisfactory or not. On the flipside, you also sound like a tool if you boast about how your xbox has "more graphics" than a PC, not least of all because of how much is wrong with that judgement in the first place. Re: Art Dump
I realize that I implied that. I apologize, since Minecraft has wonderful graphics (honestly, they are awesome), and Spelunky has great graphics for a side-scroller. Just look at all of the blood gibs when you kill stuff! I guess I need to get out of the habit of typing things before I think of how they sound.

 Re: Art Dump
I saw it as implying you don't care for graphics, just gameplay. Uh, just something to break the ice, as I don't have anything else to throw up here.

I love that. It's got that same style of character as the Scream.

Some lineart from a while ago, some cool cat exploring somewhere, maybe he's looking for his shoes, or his moustache comb.

 Re: Art Dump
Geti, I am keen to see his spear/knife fighting style. And I like his clothing, though I can't say I approve of his lack of shoes. He looks like a fun protagonist to play as.
