I'll give it a test/ feedback run. Looks pretty interesting.

I'm planning on doing a site update this weekend but I've got a bunch of work (and coursework) to do, I hope I'll get around to it.
I've got some fun ideas for the design, though porting the forums to the new look might be borderline hellish; we'll see in due course.

If I can't get around to the site update, I'll still get around to doing some sort of postmortem for Pocket Wars and share some good news with you all.
It's been one hell of a week month and a half, I can tell you that much now :/


...Oh yeah, and thanks to RoastVeg for being the only person on the forums at any given time. If you've got some idea as to how I can reward your loyalty besides a cool coloured name, give me some indication, or at least what colour you'd like

I'm thinking of having a "newest posts" index bar rather than whole page, so at any given time you can see the title of the three latest posts on the forum; if there's suddenly so much activity we need >3 newest posts I'll do a scrolling thing like the DRL twitter feed.

Oh yeah, I've also set up a twitter account for 1 Bar Design as well. I'm going to get a micro-feed going for smaller blog posts and it gives you something to follow/subscribe to without me having to set up an rss feed for the blog. More on that tomorrow perhaps.

The last few days have escaped me, so no site update or postmortem yet

I like the graphics on Pocket Wars, but from the screenshots it doesn't look very... readable. buildings and units don't really stick out from the ground.

Color scheme looks good, but the blue text over the grey bar is nigh unreadable.

Which blue text over which grey bar? I'm starting to get sick of monitor colour inconsistencies <_<

Well y'know, the banner on top of it all, with the links to the different sections of the site. I can only read it if I start looking at the screen from a high angle.



EDIT: Also, great white robots. Posting the pic at 2x might help visualizing it better, though.
