This mod is run by rule of TACTIcool. Which means realism.
The electrolaser will retain its effects upon striking a grounded target at least. I won't be getting rid of that.

A while after the next build, as he's stated before. Read the thread.

No. I doubt even Dan has a really solid idea of the date at this point, though I could easily be mistaken. It's certainly not public knowledge.

Well I'm assuming the only reason he released B24 was to make us stop complaining considering that there aren't a substantial amount of new material in B24.
I'm more waiting for the quality of the releases than the timeframe of their releases.

I'd love to see old DarkStorm content again.
Is it possible that the Nano Key will be back in the next update? That thing was pretty awesome.

If you have the technology to create lasers that can do damage then it shouldn't be to hard to add visible light to the beam. It would help the users to see where they are shooting. You could even make the lasers a non-visable wavelength and then give the troops a visor/filter that would allow only them to see the beams.

Re: DarkStorm Military Technologies -- Updated 12/20/09
The thing is that the only time you'd see a laser "beam" in mid air is when shooting the laser through dust or mist or some particle cloud, as you can see the light reflected off that point. This is why you see a "dot" from a laser pointer and not a red beam of light.

While musing about the Gamma-wave laser, I wondered if it would be possible to leave a glowing burn mark, that faded to black after a few seconds, at the entry and exit point of where the laser penetrated terrain? Kinda like custom wound effects for terrain. Only thing is it'd probably lag a lot if you shot it through porous terrain, and left like thirty of these buggers

This principle should also work for an area of terrain, but it lags.

Any chance for an indirect fire solution? Or a missile launcher attachment for the Shishi?

Darlos has said he intends to make an indirect fire weapon.
