Re: Phones
I have an iPhone 4. I needed a smartphone because I didn't have a laptop, or a GPS, or any of that fancy crap. I'd say that's a perfectly good reason to get a smartphone. Also, I have it in an OtterBox case, so I could probably throw it at somebody in an act of self defence and it would come out unscathed. A few people have asked me why I would take such a thin device and put it into such a thick case, and the simple answer is that it is manlier that way.

Hell no. That's not manly, that's obnoxious.

Re: Phones
It doesn't ring, but it buzzes like no other. It also has a chipped battery cover, the things that cover the charger and mic inputs are broken off, its scratched to ♥♥♥♥, and it likes to turn off for no reason. Also, no service in my house was the only reason we kept the landline. Oh and it holds a charge for the entire day, but I have to charge it again every night. It can text and call. I only use texting. It is also missing the little rubber no-slide pads on the back, which somehow got torn out, leaving the speaker exposed. Also there's a spot on the battery cover where it overheated and nearly melted through.

Re: Phones
Shitty Samsung GT-1570
Firmware version 1.5, cool story Android. Can't update it.
Randomly restarts, touchscreen locks up. Most apps crash constantly.
Plays Samsung intro sound at max volume on startup, no matter what the ringer settings are. Critical combo with the random rebooting!
All of my hate.

Re: Phones
Coo'. It was the telecom that sparked curiosity. @Maximdude: wouldn't have picked you as the iPhone kind of guy.

Re: Phones
Neither would I... Untill my folks got me one for no apparent reason and took away my old Samsung F480. I hated that phone, but I loved it so much - as weird as it might sound... The iphone didn't really give me the 'wow cool' effect it should have given me... Oh well.

Re: Phones
Not that Apple is the only one doing it, but it's kinda weird. http://articles.cnn.com/2011-04-20/tech ... _s=PM:TECHThe creepy part is that it's unencrypted. It's not that big a deal though. Just kinda freaky. But I have It's broken countless times.
