 Re: April 1st Attack
Make sure you deleted System32. Hackers use that as a backdoor for remote access.

 Re: April 1st Attack
I'm talking to Raven on Steam, he says there are two hackers and he wants his account banned. Seriously.
Scrap that.

 Re: April 1st Attack
Well yeah, it was more like a general thumbs-up for all of ye, really. Getting the whole thing fixed in less than a day is no small feat.
Also, for some reason I wrote "for some reason" twice in my last post for some reason.
How unnerving.

 Re: April 1st Attack
I'd advise everybody to change their passwords, just in case. Clear your internet cache and cookies. We're not totally sure to what, if any, extent the forums were used as a medium for transferring viruses or other types of malware. We have had unconfirmed reports of members being affected; it's possible that many other members have been as well. We encourage you to take every possible precaution- do a system scan with a security program, make sure everything's working fine, and if necessary, perhaps do a System Restore to any time before approximately 6:00 PM (EST) of April 1st. The immediate threat is over and the forums are stable, but please for your own safety check to see if you've been affected.
Thanks for your patience,
-The Management

 Re: April 1st Attack
I think we should ban Raven just in case.
An IP ban, to be absolutely sure.

 Re: April 1st Attack
Dude, you guys mean that there really was a hacker attack?? Woah, never thought what I posted in the temp forum really happened. Basically it was posted in a thread about Duh's forum getting v&, and I suggested the idea of enlisting the help of a West Russian Botnet and Manchurian Botnet (both of which I fabricated outta my ass). Never thought it really happened. Either synchronicity or butterfly effect folks, better believe it.

 Re: April 1st Attack
I think the hacker didn't hack my account because it's too hard to type.

 Re: April 1st Attack
Oh Geez. It really was the forumpocalypse. I just assumed the postchanging was part of the conspiracy. Also, for clarification, Were the virus warnings on those 'Cached' versions of the forum true or just BS, cause if they're true I have some major scanning to do.
