Re: Pokemon Monochrome
Well, Platinum is considered valuable like Diamonds and Pearls, so... Yeah, iunno. But there are better things to argue about than the names of the games.

Emerald was clearly the best game in the series.

Re: Pokemon Monochrome
The thing with the fourth gen is that, at that moment is when progress halted for the games. There isn't a single new major thing I can mention from it. Even if the underground fossil digging is pretty fun, it's just a minigame essentially.
And yeah, I agree with you there Geti, 3D realtime battles would've been hella fun.

[/pointless] I was under the impression that Game Freak was the publisher Also, I realize that Nintendo doesn't only make Pokemon...who else could be responsible for Link, Kirby, Kid Icarus, etc? I agree, they aren't completely responsible for the cookie-cutter story lines in Pokemon games, since Game Freak helps out as well. My bad.

I'd play Pokemon if it were possible to get to the high end multiplayer metagame without grinding to hell. Yeah, I loved Emerald too, but then the franchise went down the shitter, if you ask me.

Re: Pokemon Monochrome
I've played White, blue and yellow, and bought FireRed, Emerald, Pearl, Platinum and HeartGold.
Never found one I didn't like. I'm too lazy to even spend half an hour training, so I just spam legendaries.

Re: Pokemon Monochrome
All-in-all, Pokemon is the best children-friendly, turn-based, time-consuming role-playing game that you can find. Besides the Final Fantasies, of course.

Having read your link now, I sorta agree with you. I like R/B/Y for nostalgic reasons, but the new games have a nice look too. They're a fantastic step forward for nintendo, mostly because there's an actual change. surprising, isn't it. Especialy diamond/pearl.

Re: Pokemon Monochrome
Yeah, the three-on-three battles are a lot of fun. Now they just need to add three-team battles.
