Re: The greatest modders of all time
Ah, right, I forgot about that five-barrel machine gun. Yeah, I made the first (I think 21 width) laser after seeing that, and I think a guy with 7 in his name said he'd made a 4-wide laser before it came out, but hadn't published it in time. I'm also taking credit for using glows as holograms, unless someone can cite using that before my stuff. >.> <.< Hadn't seen that before, at least. And I don't think anyone else has yet to use the widelaser tech to make a wide and thick bullet drawn per-pixel with smaller bullets.

Re: The greatest modders of all time
Shook made an autocannon that drew a large cannon round made of smaller MOPixels blended together with glows a bit, if I remember correctly.

Re: The greatest modders of all time
Darn, Shook has one of everything. By the way, not naming my favorite modders because I can't remember most of their names. ><; I'll just give CaveCricket another mention, since he's less famous (as far as I can tell), but makes the same sort of mods I do (and therefore I love them like I love myself ). Not that I want to get a reputation for that, but seriously, what else is this thread for but tooting your own horn? Also, yes Whitty, we love you too. Complaints about balance aside, I liked your faction's spriting and effects, and general cohesiveness.

Re: The greatest modders of all time
In terms of best modder, I can't say anything, since my delve into modding has only just begun (I haven't successfully made a mod yet). As for my favorite modders, I would have to say LowestFormOfWit and MaximDude. Wit's stuff is simply brilliant, and his devotion to the much-unappreciated dummies is great. MaximDude is here, simply because of MDC. It's my favorite mod, and the sprites are the closest I've seen to vanilla ones. Not to mention, that faction is the perfect size. Plus, it has it's own bunker modules. Not many factions can say that.

There are quite a few people on that list, and it isn't easy for me to see any doubles. Thank you for pointing it out, though.

Gotta give thesoupiest some cred for churning out decent mods at a fast rate.

I'll cast my vote for Nonsequitorian, whose Flagship mod is not only tastefully vanilla in form, but very mod-ish in function.

Re: The greatest modders of all time
You have posted that on about 5-6 different topics, the term is sparkle magic, LUA is technical, and uncool yo!

Re: The greatest modders of all time
Deeglik, apparently you don't know that we have nicknames for Lua here at the forums. Sparkle Magic is just one of the most popular. Portugese Moonrunes is another, very, very obscure one. Ya dig?

Re: The greatest modders of all time
The term bloody well ain't 'sparkle magic'. It's not LUA either.
It's Lua, as in first letter capitalised cause it's the name of the programming language, not some weird acronym. And carrion, the nicknames are silly and unneeded, Lua is just fine. Btw he's Thor if you didn't get that already, he's quite familiar with how the forum works afaik.
Moral of story is: nicknames for Lua is OK if you want people who've been here longer than you to roll their eyes back into their skulls, and Lua is just fine.
