Ociamarru (1)

Those wolves remind you of MEAT.
"I've been hungry for a while now...I feel it is time I get my fair share of food!"
You pull out the longsword and take a wide slash at one of the wolves. (1 v. 3) The wolf easily hops back from the attack, then charges head on, knocking you to the ground.

Inv. [9]
-Hammer [3]
Eq.
-Gauntlets [2]
-Nikolai's Longsword [4]
P-Abilities
-Expert Craftmanship (+1 to metalwork)
A-Abilities
-None
Injuries
-Downed (-1 to dodge rolls)

Hyperkultra (1)

The wolves don't seem to be attacking yet. They are still forming a large ring. Once they surround the group, they will strike.

Inv. [4]
-Hip Flask [2]
Eq.
-Dagger [2]
P-Abilities
-Sleight of Hand (+1 to dexterity)
A-Abilities
-None
Injuries
-None

HEN (5)

You aim your crossbow at one of the largest, most threatening wolves you can see. After a while, you begin to notice what they are doing. They are surrounding the party. It's as good as attacking, because you know what's coming next. They'll strike from every angle and overcome the soldiers. That ain't gonna happen. You fire. (5 v. 1) The wolf takes the hit right between the eyes. The bolt goes straight through its skull, and it drops dead to the ground. The other wolves snarl at you, but make no move yet.

Inv. [7]
-Sickle [4]
Eq.
-Compound Crossbow (3/6) [3]
P-Abilities
-In the Shadows (+1 to stealth rolls)
A-Abilities
-None
Injuries
-None

Tokochiro (4)

You grab a bandage, wrap it around the top of your cane and stick it in the fire for a bit. When you pull it out, it is flaming heartily. You hold it up defensively in front of you.
"I hope these are wolves; that demon thing has hurt me real bad."

Inv. [8]
-Bomb [2]
-Bandages (3) [3]
Eq.
- Flaming Cane [3]
P-Abilities
-Helping Hand (+1 to assisting friends)
A-Abilities
-None
Injuries
-None

Nonsequitorian (3)

"Mountains?! We're going to the mountains!? Zut! We can't go to the mountains! It's as good as being dead! When we get in there, there'll be no way out and the demons know that. They'll push us into the farthest, darkest corner, scare us by picking off some of them, and that'll be the end of us. We're either going to starve to death because we don't want to be killed or we are going to die in that rocky tomb. What's worse is that I don't even think we'll make it to the mountains. They'll be taking us left and right all the time. And if the demons don't get us, the wolves and such will. Oh jeez. We're not going to make it."
What else do you expect the people to do? Go back to the demon-infested Colber? Some of them begin taking your words seriously and weep, saying between sobs that they're going to die. Maybe you should have been a little more positive.

Inv. [7]
-Powder Horn and Ball Bag (48/50) [3]
Eq.
-Dan's Black Powder Rifle (1/1) [4]
P-Abilities
-Ranged Mechanical Weapons Knowledge (+1 to repair if roll is 2 or lower) (+1 to use of Dan's Rifle) (-2 to bow and arrow)
A-Abilities
-None
Injuries
-None

Adam (3)

You pull on your chainmail and pull out your knife. None of the wolves seem to be attacking yet, so you hang back, ready to fight them off.

Inv. [6]
-None
Eq.
-Knife w/ Knuckled Handguard [2]
-Chainmail [4]
P-Ablities
-Fist Fighter (+1 hand to hand combat)
A-Abilities
-None
Injuries
-None

ANOTHER RULE CHANGE FOR YOUR BENEFIT

I declare that it is too annoying to get a -1 to attack rolls because of equipping an item in the same turn. I hereby forfeit that rule from the game. You may now freely attack and equip items as you wish during battle without any penalties.

EVENTS

The wolves have formed a complete circle around the party. They lean back on their haunches, and look ready to strike, but then their ears turn back to listen to a howling from within the woods. They back off a bit, leaving an open space in the ring. From the trees walks a wolf on two legs. It stops at the open area. Someone whispers.

"Werewolf..."

For some reason, you just knew that was coming. The werewolf makes a gesture towards the group that eerily resembles the way a human soldier would command an attack, and the wolves begin to close in slowly. The ring gets smaller and smaller...

It's a pity the hilt of my sword is the only silver bit. Well, maybe as long as there's some silver in the weapon, it'll do something. But I'll deal with the werewolf later.
Strike the nearest wolf to me.
"Taste my blade, beast!"

Well, Hyper (Or TorrentHKU) has not posted, so here is the round.

Let battle commence!

Tokochiro (6)

You hold the cane in front of you.
"I hope that demon scratch hurts less than a werewolf scratch."
The wolves seem afraid of the fire, so you start swinging it around. A breeze blows by, and that, combined with your swinging, puts out the flame. The wolves start closing in again....

Inv. [8]
-Bomb [2]
-Bandages (3) [3]
Eq.
-Cane [3]
P-Abilities
-Helping Hand (+1 to assisting friends)
A-Abilities
-None
Injuries
-None

Nonsequitorian (6)

"Ah ♥♥♥♥ it."
You assume silver is needed to kill a werewolf. Damn! It has to have some other weakness.... Then you remember. You look around, and find the old man that was telling stories earlier. You run to him and ask,
"What do you know about werewolves?" The fear on his face is obvious. He stutters.
"Only... st-stories!"
"That doesn't matter right now! What do you know?!" He freezes for a moment, then seems to collect himself.
"I've heard from my grandfather stories of the werewolf. He says that they weaken when not in full moonlight. That they will lose their strength. The hero Marros once killed a werewolf by using this information. At least... that's how the story went."
That's perfect. It just might win the battle. You turn back to the werewolf and notice that he's right in front of you. You get about a half-second before he strikes at you with his claws. (1 v. 2) You're lucky. He seems to be distracted at the moment. You leap out of the way. He appears to sigh with relief as you move away. Then you see. Your shadow was blocking the moonlight!

Inv. [7]
-Powder Horn and Ball Bag (48/50) [3]
Eq.
-Dan's Black Powder Rifle (1/1) [4]
P-Abilities
-Ranged Mechanical Weapons Knowledge (+1 to repair if roll is 2 or lower) (+1 to use of Dan's Rifle) (-2 to bow and arrow)
A-Abilities
-None
Injuries
-None

HEN (3)

You aim your crossbow at one of the smaller wolves and let a bolt loose. (3 v. 6) The shot misses. There don't seem to be too many, thankfully. You count about twelve wolves and one werewolf.

Inv. [7]
-Sickle [4]
Eq.
-Compound Crossbow (2/6) [3]
P-Abilities
-In the Shadows (+1 to stealth action rolls)
A-Abilities
-None
Injuries
-None

Adam (1)

The wolves are still closing in. A hotheaded wolf attacks, charging at one of the children. You slice your knife at it, but it is already past. Then Ociamarru leaps up and slashes it out of the air. Good thing he was there to stop it. You sigh.
"Go find some deer to eat, you stupid wolves.

Inv. [6]
-None
Eq.
-Knife w/ Knuckled Handguard [2]
-Chainmail [4]
P-Ablities
-Fist Fighter (+1 hand to hand combat)
A-Abilities
-None
Injuries
-None

Ociamarru (6)

You see a wolf attacking one of the children. Not gonna happen. You run over, barely avoiding the wolf that just attacked you, (1 v. 1) and slash it down as it leaps (6 v. 3).
"Taste my blade, beast!"
It falls to the ground, takes a final breath, then dies. That was a close one.

Inv. [9]
-Hammer [3]
Eq.
-Gauntlets [2]
-Nikolai's Longsword [4]
P-Abilities
-Expert Craftmanship (+1 to metalwork)
A-Abilities
-None
Injuries
-None

TorrentHKU (-)

You remain standing, lifeless, like a zombie.

What's going on...? Oh yeah... there's some kind of battle.... Whatever. You start to doze off, still standing.

Inv. [4]
-Hip Flask [2]
Eq.
-Dagger [2]
P-Abilities
-Sleight of Hand (+1 to dexterity)
A-Abilities
-None
Injuries
-None

That's all for now, folks. Hyper, er... Torrent. Get your post up next time. Everybody else, keep it up.

See ya next round!

"Hey crossbow man, want some help with your crossbow? Burning the arrows may make a change."
You try to put another bandage on your cane, but your hands fumble and drop it. It begins to be carried off by the wind, and you scamper after it, running headlong into a wolf. It tries to take a chunk out of your leg (6 v. 4), but you manage to stumble away and grab your precious bandage.

Inv. [8]
-Bomb [2]
-Bandages (3) [3]
Eq.
-Cane [3]
P-Abilities
-Helping Hand (+1 to assisting friends)
A-Abilities
-None
Injuries
-None

Nonsequitorian (-)

You can't just assume there's a shield on the ground.
The soldiers wield spears if you didn't know.
You can't just grab one 'cause there are none around.
So next time ask me before you go!

There aren't any shields around here. You'd be hard-pressed to find a soldier who has one. Most of them wield spears or pikes in both hands. So you just shout your discovery to the rest of the team.
"Everybody! Try to get between the wolfman and the moon! It's our only chance seeing that none of us has any silver!"
You barely manage to get the last word out before the werewolf charges head-on. (3 v. 5) You sidestep the attack easily. He'll have to try harder than that.

Inv. [7]
-Powder Horn and Ball Bag (48/50) [3]
Eq.
-Dan's Black Powder Rifle (1/1) [4]
P-Abilities
-Ranged Mechanical Weapons Knowledge (+1 to repair if roll is 2 or lower) (+1 to use of Dan's Rifle) (-2 to bow and arrow)
A-Abilities
-None
Injuries
-None

TorrentHKU (6 + 1 = 6)

Man, why did you change your name?
I kinda like the new one, but...
I still miss Hyper, all the same.

You wait for a wolf to come to you. And it does. It leaps forward and strikes with its claws (5 v. 1) and you take the full force of the blow to your head. You still manage to stab the wolf (6 v. 3) as you go down with it, but now you're pinned under a dead body, and your head burns from the claws that slashed it.

Inv. [4]
-Hip Flask [2]
Eq.
-Dagger [2]
P-Abilities
-Sleight of Hand (+1 to dexterity)
A-Abilities
-None
Injuries
-Head - Clawed left side (Bleeding - Death in 10 turns)
-Pinned (-2 to dodge rolls)

HEN (1) I rolled just for lulz, since there can't possibly be a punishment for such a simple action.

You switch out your crossbow for the sickle, and settle into a defensive stance. Hmmm... what stance would be best? You try out some different poses, but you feel stupid in every one of them. You frown. Stances are hard.

Inv. [7]
-Compound Crossbow (2/6) [3]
Eq.
-Sickle [4]
P-Abilities
-In the Shadows (+1 to stealth action rolls)
A-Abilities
-None
Injuries
-None

Ociamarru (6)

The battle has quickly escalated. You launch yourself recklessly at another wolf (6 v. 1) and with all your momentum built up, slash it. You have to stop yourself, because you went right though it. You skid to a halt, and turn around to see the wolf in two pieces.

You can't celebrate long, however, as another one quickly takes its place. The beast sneers at you and then attacks. (4 v. 6) You pull yourself back just as its jaws clamp around the place where your leg was a moment ago.

Inv. [9]
-Hammer [3]
Eq.
-Gauntlets [2]
-Nikolai's Longsword [4]
P-Abilities
-Expert Craftmanship (+1 to metalwork)
A-Abilities
-None
Injuries
-None

Adam (1)

You ready your knife and slowly approach a wolf that is growling your way, saying soothingly,
"Niiiice wolfy. Gooood boy..." But that seems to be the wrong approach, because as soon as you raise your knife to attack (1 v. 2) He jumps out of the way. Dangit, wolfy. Get back here!

Inv. [6]
-None
Eq.
-Knife w/ Knuckled Handguard [2]
-Chainmail [4]
P-Ablities
-Fist Fighter (+1 hand to hand combat)
A-Abilities
-None
Injuries
-None
