   |   Re: Robot Arena 2: Design and DestroyI play it occasionally, just that I can't think of good bot designs.

   |   Re: Robot Arena 2: Design and DestroyOh this game, i love it. Played it some time ago, there are SO MANY possibilities for robots. More often than not though, i end up making a heavyweight robot that smashes the other with something heavy. I remember this one cylindrical bot i made, it had a triple spinning sledgehammer for a weapon. And then the bot itself could also spin around with its wheels. The result? A raging tornado of sledgehammer strikes. The foes generally ended up with one of their sides completely smashed in. I should totally get hold of it again at some point, if at all possible. I recall it not working terribly well with recent Windows versions.

   |   Re: Robot Arena 2: Design and DestroyActually, if you install all the patches (1.3 is the newest, I think) it doesn't have any problems with Win7 64bit.And I have the same problem. I always end up with a bot that bashes the others with 2 double-sided pick-axes and has spikes at every direction to prevent flipping over.

   |   Re: Robot Arena 2: Design and DestroyUsed to play this forever. Sad the community is so small nowadays, I don't know of any other communities besides the GameTechMods forum . By some coincidence, this was the game and forum that I was first really involved in, before DRL. Download the DSL mod, you won't regret it.

   |   Re: Robot Arena 2: Design and DestroyI could never make anything in this because the friggin' wheels wouldn't be EXACTLY the same distance apart. They'd be, like, less than half a block off but when I tried moving forward it'd just spin around really fast...

   |   Re: Robot Arena 2: Design and DestroyNah, you got the wiring wrong.
 UP|DOWN
Left-side wheels are UP: Counter-clockwise and DOWN: Clockwise.
 Right-side wheels are the opposite.
 LEFT|RIGHT
All wheels LEFT: Clockwise and RIGHT: Counter-clockwise.

 Try that.
