Just acquired Deadmou5, and I like most of it.

Re: Dubstep
You might like The Island by Pendulum http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dzKZuhwrwNMBoth parts are good but I like the second the best. first is more kick'n snare but the second focuses more around bass and synth.

Re: Dubstep
No, Dubstep's bass goes lower, is much more upbeat than that and uses more synth/techno like instruments.
possibly more Beats per second aswell.

Re: Dubstep
Upbeat? Jeez, every time I've listened to it, it didn't seem so. How about this, then? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKKWXmKebwkAny closer?

Re: Dubstep
Sorry, maybe upbeat was the wrong word. Dubstep is extremely hardcore in bass, like INCREDIBLY deep and low into the bass and usually has plenty of beat in the background to go with it. They should always include a nice, strong, hard drop to it too. Take this for example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-XIUWy5abs

If that's truly the case, then there is a track I've made that technically qualifies as dubstep. However, to make it better I'mma re-balance the bass & lead & re-up to soundcloud and share it. brb in however long that takes. --edit Here it is, on soundcloudThe previous version of it is also on that soundcloud. and... blah.... Please tell me if you'd consider this some kind of dubstep.

Re: Dubstep
That sounds close to it, but try spamming that bass "wobb" more and also it doesnt hurt to add a kick'n snare to enhance the beat a bit.

I'm not sure that would work because its a 1 bar loop on a turntable. adding wobble before the turntable would sound like ass, and adding it after, would also sound like ass. I'd also like to mention it's a cover of this. So i'm not really going to be trying to make this dubstep anymore than I just did. I was just wondering if that worked.

Please tell me if you'd consider this some kind of dubstep. i dont like it yeah its got some bass. it feels soulless and like several un-automated patterns looped. needs better eq. when the volume of everything else turns down for a bass hit you're doing it wrong(this is very much happening). tbh the song reminds me more of house music than anything else

Re: Dubstep
He does tons of remixes, and the bass on some of them hits hard enough to flex car door panels with 8's. http://soundcloud.com/chrispydubstep/rude-boy-chrispy-remix
