Voice chat would be a strategic asset. However my accent would be hard to tolerate.

You have an accent? Do tell. Also, be jealous of my Midwestern U.S. lack of an accent (no, I don't speak in a goddamn yooper dialect).

On-topic, is this game really as hard to run as people say, and as buggy as they say?

Portuguese accent, yes. Although I have been told that sometimes it resembles a russian accent.

It isn't really that hard, but it's still buggy as hell.

It's gotten better, daily patching.

The language sounds like a made-up mashup of English, Swedish and German.

ULTIMATE WIZARDRY
ENEMIES LAUNCHED LIKE CANNONBALLS
BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Also, qfaaas makes a beam that gets the target wet, shocks the target and turns the spell into a beam. It does a ton of damage.

EDIT:
Oh, and cross that beam as much as you can, even if you have two seconds left its a good idea to area cast it or combine two beams to make everything go ded around you.

I've had people tell me I have an unplaceable accent, having grown up in a household of chinese parents that lived in the UK for a long time prior to moving here, watching tv with american accents and talking to people with australian accents. But yeah, generally speaking, you don't notice your accent if you live with a lot of people with the same accent.

I have the same accent that newscasters have - General American English - as Nonsequitarian has proven to me. So yeah, I guess I have an accent that's defined by clear speech and ease of understanding.

I got Magicka while it was on sale on Steam a little while ago, it is indeed a fun game. There's a fair number of bugs I've encountered, but the fact that it's caused me to laugh out loud on a number of occasions far outweighs that. I'm looking forward to Magicka Vietnam, although I still have no idea whether it's a full game or DLC.

On an off-topic note, Ociamarru, everyone has an accent that is equally clear and easy to understand to somebody with the same accent. Not all newscasters share your accent. I guarantee you that if you were to speak to somebody with a thick English accent, they'd have trouble understanding you, too.

So what are some of the better spell combinations? I've been told Ice Ice Ice Ice Earth is good, but I typically stick with Arcane mixed with Lightning and Fire.

My accent is categorized as free of regional influence and generally easier to understand than other accents. I wouldn't be saying this if I didn't know it to be true.

As far as I am aware the highest damage output combination is steam/lightning/arcane/arcane/arcane as it wets and harms the enemy, electrocutes them and then just beams them to death.

Who told you this? Sounds a little fishy to me

What's the difference between Steam and Water? They both spray, and I guess Water doesn't do damage...is it just that you can use it with Lightning?

From Wikipedia:
" General American is sometimes promoted as preferable to other, regional accents."
"In the United States, classes promising "accent reduction" generally attempt to teach speech patterns similar to this accent."
" General American is the name given to any American accent that is relatively free of noticeable regional influences."
From LCIEnglish:
"The LCI Accent Reduction Program enables individuals to reduce their dialects by speaking with features of the General American dialect."
From TheFreeDictionary: "...and for its frequent use as a norm of pronunciation by national broadcasters."
