I'm not sure if Ruben would know what the mission is, but I would say that he would at least try to help the people being attacked by savages.

Also, technically, nobody really knows what the mission is, since the original 6 aren't around to tell them. The oldest player here is Foil / Andrew. I 'spose Barker can help them out though.

He unleashes a roar that seems to shake the trees around him and pounds his heel into the face of the downed Tribesman. There is a wet crunch-slash-squish sound, then he spins around and smashes his broken Baton in the face of the just-stood-up Tribesman, flinging him like a rag doll into the foliage. Andrew semi-crouches, breathing heavily and his shoulders square.

Watching the two fight below, it looks like they've been ambushed by a small group of Tribesmen, namely a border-guard tribe of the Ban Ali. One is in an Robotic Exo Suit and the other looks, well, quite brutal, and proves it by roaring like some feral pack animal before crushing one Tribesman's face beneath a boot.
Well, the enemy of my enemy is my friend. I hope the Exo-suit pilot is polite, at least.
Before he can think about it any further, one of the Tribesmen that avoided the Exo Suit comes at him from the connecting branches. Ruben prepares himself for a fight of both balance and skill.

Generator can't quite recharge because of the canopy - not enough light coming through. If you stand still the recharge rate will be the same as the usage, but that doesn't help much.

But of course, if you roll a 5 then I have to retcon a hole in the canopy, don't I?

Andrew grabs hold of a vine and pulls himself up into the branches. As soon as he gets his balance (3+3=6 )he swings his fist at the closest Tribesman, who is both surprised and now off-balance. The Tribesman falls off his branch, out of the trees and slams into the ground. He doesn't get up. Andrew wobbles from the opposing force of his punch but steadies himself with another branch. Don't fall out of the tree now.

Asfer moves into a patch of sunlight and lets the Generator charge a bit, before a Tribesman comes swinging down on a vine with his Spear aimed. Asfer waits for the right moment, then sidesteps and smashes the Bladed Shield into the Tribesman's back as he swings past. The Tribesman releases the vine as a reflex and crashes headlong into a tree-trunk with a wet smack, then slides to the ground - dead.

Ruben attempts to wrestle one of the Tribesmen but he just deflects Ruben's attack with a flick of his arm. Ruben then falls off the branch he was on and out of the canopy, crash through a lower branch and then landing unceremoniously on the ground.

Asfer takes out a George-wannabe and Andrew lets one fall out of the tree. Ruben attempts to wrestle with another but falls out of the trees and hurts himself.

Barker cuts a swath of trees down from the South-West and yells at the three of them. (Ruben doesn't know Barker yet. Actually, Ruben doesn't know anyone)

Vlad and Kyle are finally heading the right way. In the clearing ahead, smoke plumes pollute the airspace. The landscape ahead of that looks like a swamp, and a mountain ridge rises in the distance.
