Manually starting a treadmill seems like it defeats the purpose. You'd have to be anchoring yourself against something 'solid' relative to the motion of the treadmill, which isn't a natural running posture in any way at all. Running on regular treadmills doesn't fully equate to real running as it is, and people want to make it weirder?

I meant single barrel, max fire rate firing with reloads as fast as the loader can manage.
Also, I have a feeling treadmills started that way and got motorised later.

How about a Make-your-own-Mobile-phone (Cellphone for you silly Americans) where you can choose the OS, pre-installed software + drivers + such, touch or buttons or both, layout (candybar, slide, flip etc), extra buttons (camera, music), inputs and outputs, colours and materials it's made of?
