The Dummies are just so wholesome and well organised from a gameplay point of view. I mean the top three has to be the biggest three, but I can't rate the Clones or the Ronin over one another.

I dunno, I just love the feel of the robots - also, the whole 'not bleeding to death' thing is good, too.

Bleeding, leaking oil, it's kinda the same.

Yeah, try that out with a DS tech robot and see how well it "Leaks oil".

That would be a mod, not vanilla. Vanilla is balanced.

Coalition FTW. Big variety of weapons, light and heavy units, drones, tools, awesomeness.

the soldiers are cheap, light and don't bleed/leak.

repeater is pretty darn epic, and the sniper has fairly balanced feel. the disruptor grenade is actually somewhat useful and the impulse grenade has always been my favorite thing.

Dreadnoughts are really, really dangerous in hallways.

Coalition, I don't use them as often as I should but they win visually.

Coalition are too Ryu-y for me, yaknow? They're the Terrans, the assault rifle, the chocolate ice cream. It's not that they're essentially generic or boring or average or well rounded or even popular, though the guys that fit into this group often share a number of these traits. Actually I don't think they necessarily have to have any number of these traits at all. Kind of the "noob group", like the ones that immediately appeal to new players. No not even that. The guys that fit into this group are designed to be comfortable to new players. Like for the people who don't like Dummies because they're too different or scary, don't like the Ronin because they're too weak. The "safe" race. I mean there are people who like them for their unique qualities, or even the well roundedness that often comes with this group, but design wise I think they're meant to be the "no weird ♥♥♥♥" group that appeals to the masses. I'm not saying liking them is a bad thing, I'm not even saying I don't like, I do very much. I'm just trying to articulate (in a very round-a-bout way) why the Ronin and to a lesser extent, the Dummies appeal to me more.

I like the Dummies a little less for their powerful feeling, and I like the Ronin for their underdog feeling, even though in many respects the Ronin are tougher or harder hitting. I've always liked being the underdog and to feel struggle, even so far as to handicap myself in many games, even some competitive.

Coalition just don't really fit my playstyle. I much prefer to be mobile and avoid combat unless it can be finished in 2 shotgun blasts or less rather than having the armour to survive a firefight but not the firepower to finish it quickly.

I find the Coalition is exquisite for base defence and the second coolest looking(Dummies look cooler but are yet to be officially expanded upon so they get second)
for general combat and smash 'n' grabs I like robot 1&2

I like the undead because I hate to have my actors get all beaten up, but I feel no qualms about beating the ♥♥♥♥ out of a zombie.

I'd like zombies more if they could climb ♥♥♥♥ or something, maybe jump further.

So you can snipe them when they're far and blast their ♥♥♥♥ when they're close.
