There is now a map, though it's still rendering, at this URL (The port number is necessary I'm afraid), and the server is rather bogged down at he moment trying to render it all. It should not take much more than an hour from this post (though I expect it done within a matter of ten to twenty minutes myself), and after that shouldn't interfere with the server all that much. Reason it's taking so long now is because it has to do the entire server, where in later renders it will only render chunks that have changed.

How often is that map refreshed?

Should be every half hour, it was accidentally set to every half hour every two hours (12:00, 12:30, 2:00, 2:30...) but I just fixed it.

EDIT: Damn the server lags up with that. I set it to render once every day at 12 noon, I kinda doubt there are many users on at that point.

Set it to 8am, took about four hours to finish the entire map.

So duh, is there any way to set the time of day with the new server software? Was gonna ask you today, but then you left.

Not from server-side, but you can use a client side mod (like I just enabled on my own).

server side scripting potential with the Bukkit server once the event system is fleshed out will allow you to have chat commands that change the time. shouldn't be too long!!

Server is royally ♥♥♥♥. It decided to create new chunks over old ones.
We have half houses, and the spawn is mutilated.

Duh, restore a backup from any time before 11:30.
Chunks and spawn are all messed.

Backup restored, also renderer was updated to the next version. I set it to render tonight so there might be a bit of lag (but I've noticed it's not that bad, just a slow render), but it'll show the new beta 1.2_02 blocks instead of just their shadows.
