Re: Brink
I've posted like, ten times in the three/four years I've lurked, but I'm gunning to get it on steam. It had me at the art style.
So complaining about snipers aside, how about that SMART button? Or which side you plan on playing first? I read that you get more points for aiding your teammates than killing enemies, that sounds like a nice change of pace.

Re: Brink
SMART button will be tap for simple sprint, like in borderlands. and hold shift for activating SMART. And yeah, it IS a nice change of pace, makes people go for objective a lot more by rewarding em for it. EDIT: New trailer, woop! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tI4y2P0r7K0

Re: Brink
AHHHHH, I want this game now. So glad I preordered it from steam the day it became available.
Trailer looks really good. The rapid fire grenade launcher was slightly disturbing, but then I though: Hey, it's splash damage, they won't ♥♥♥♥ this up.

Re: Brink
I'm definitely looking forward to it. I might not be able to get it because of cash restrictions, but hey, I can try.

Re: Brink
I sort of disagree with that; it has as many classes as battlefield and are defined quite a bit differently.

Re: Brink
I'll be getting it just not for Pc..... I've basically been following this game from when it was announced haha. The customization is what drew me in, I honestly could care less if it doesn't give any stat bonuses as long as I look cool....And The SMART system just looks epic.

Re: Brink
it looks pretty cool but im on the fence about it its like mirrors edge with some tf2 in there
also i found it quite funny how the medic gave the incapped person a revive syringe wouldn't it make more sense if you actually carried a syringe
but all that aside its about fun not realism or logic

Re: Brink
Your loss.
And no, that wouldn't make more sense because that would've made the medic useless.

Re: Brink
never said i wouldn't get it just that i was on the fence
and yeah it would make the medic useless like in the first bad company you had a syringe you just stabbed yourself with and
BOOM full health

Re: Brink
There was no medic in the first BC. Only support.

Re: Brink
Neat. The body types remind me of MAG. Freerunning looks cool, but I'm hoping it's not just a gimmick ie essentially useless in the game itself. wooden wrote: and yeah it would make the medic useless like in the first bad company you had a syringe you just stabbed yourself with and
BOOM full health The Support class had medkits and only the Assault class carried health syringes. Regeneration wasn't instantaneous, it was more like *STAB, then gain 50 health over the course of 5 seconds*. It was actually very useful because the other three classes- Recon, Specialist, and Demolition- weren't able to gain any health because unlike in Bad Company 2, Bad Company 1 did not have regenning HP. You had to get healed. Also, the Support class was arguably the best class to play as. LMGs do a buttload of damage and are accurate at full-auto from long distances. You have medkits to heal yourself with, a mortar designator, a repair tool to fix any vehicles you get in, and so on. They're entirely self-reliant. And ♥♥♥♥, the MG36 is the most unbalanced weapon in the game- it's a high damage fully-automatic machine gun with a scope and like 400 bullets. I was sniping snipers with it. At close range, you don't even need to aim down the sights, just hold the trigger and wave it in the enemy's direction.
