   |   Re: Mission: [Coalition] Tartarus (Updated: 16-jan-2010)Not work as in not showing up when selecting which factions? That would likely be caused by the * in front of the faction's lua file in the factions.cfg.

   |   Re: Mission: [Coalition] Tartarus (Updated: 16-jan-2010)I (the previous Mac user with problems) tried the update, and found that it actually starts up the fancy selector menu, but without any available factions for selection; no doubt due to the Mac's problems with config files, as you said.
Is there any way I could work around the config file issue and have the script just pull the faction scripts directly? Or perhaps there's a way to backslide a bit to the older version of Tartarus, and just include the available factions directly in the selection menu script?

   |   Re: Mission: [Coalition] Tartarus (Updated: 16-jan-2010)Or maybe make it read from another .lua file? Or just a plain .txt file?

   |   Re: Mission: [Coalition] Tartarus (Updated: 16-jan-2010)I'm having the same issue as Nocifer.I tried changing the config file to a .txt as carrion suggested, and changed the reference to it in the MissionLibrary file, but it didn't work.
I may have missed something, though, I'm not much of a coder.

   |   Re: Mission: [Coalition] Tartarus (Updated: 16-jan-2010)Yeah, changing from .cfg to .txt effectively changes the way the computer handles the file, so it would also necessitate a change in the content of that file at least, if not the rest of the code.
Weegee is currently working on getting a Mac version running, and I'm helping him by testing. It seems to be working well thus far, but still no proper functionality.

   |   Re: Mission: [Coalition] Tartarus (Updated: 16-jan-2010)I'm sorry; I don't understand how one gets the other factions to be available in play. When you say "bundled" with the mod, does that mean those other factions are also installed along with it? It seems not. Does it mean the mod SUPPORTS those factions? In any case, I've got a bunch (though not all) of the factions you mentioned, but only Dummy and Coalition (not even Ronin) show up on the faction selection screen. What do I have to do to fix this? Mod looks cool, though; looking forward to trying it out. *EDIT* Okay, it looks like some other people are having the same issue, but I don't have any experience with altering these files people speak of. Is it possible someone could tell me how to change whatever needs to be changed? Help a noob out?

Open Tartarus.rte\Factions\Factions.cfg in notepad, remove asterisk to enable faction, put asterisk back to disable faction. You don't have to restart CC after these changers just restart activity with CTRL+R.

   |   Re: Mission: [Coalition] Tartarus (Updated: 20-jan-2010)This is a fun one, though the lack of diggers makes getting at that brain kinda annoying. This is unrelated, but I guess I'll ask here. I have tons of mods and check the mod forum practically everyday, but I don't recognize several of these units. Counting from the left (1. coalition, 2. dummy etc.) I don't recognize 4,5,7,9,10, 15, and 16. Which units are these?
