 Re: Dubstep
Ah, now that two people have mentioned it, I guess I'm obliged to respond, rather than hope no one notices it. I don't really know what I was thinking when I posted them.
I'd try and redeem myself by posting some actual dubstep, but I can never remember the name of anything I like.

 Re: Dubstep
Probably because it's very hard to distinguish between individual dubstep-esque tracks, but I find I don't remember the names of any of them. This is really annoying for when I want them back, and one of the reasons why I'm listening to Disturbed right now, instead of dubstep. It's just not a convenient form of music in that sense.

SKRILLEX stuff posted is BROSTEP. you'll notice it has more in common with rave music and the fast paced stress of metal rather than dub. brostep. the joke poisoning dubstep. you said the bass is barely audible? buy a component subwoofer and 3/4" MDF, a good amp, and get a sub going that isn't trash. you will hear it loud and clear. yessss

That my friend, would be reggae. Reggae > Reggae dub. Reggae dub + Triphop&DNB = Dubstep. The " Dub" In dubstep is VERY Rooted in Reggae. Reggae is proto-dub, Burial is more like the seasonings used for little bit of extra flavor. --edit Ironically I like reggae, and I like dubstep, (hard dubstep, or dark dub would be a more accurate name than 'brostep'), but the combination of the two.... Sums up my Dubstep opinion pretty well. That's horrible... Here I thought it was gonna say something like all dubstep sounds like a robot falling down stairs... but wtf. its like happy2bhardcore... its like anabolic frolic tried making dubstep... In other news, while trying to make dubstep... again... I got so pissed I said "Screw it I'll use a sine-wave and FM the hell out of it".... and it kinda worked 0_o, so if anyone wants to Check my dubs, that'd be great. It's pretty bare-bones right now and doesn't really have a hook. Mostly just a test track. I could do more but I have to get groceries and stuff.

also not saying brostep is bad, it's just not dubstep aaa!!!!!!! Electronica was at one time an accepted name. these same people also accept having at least 5 different genres, that sound nothing alike, all called 'rave'. All I'm saying is "Brostep" Is a retarded name, but some people seem to have a raging bro-ner for calling everything bro-something-or-other. THATS retarded. Dark dub, Industrial-dub, Grunge-step, all work as names. considering they already have "Dark trance, dark techno, Darksynth, Industrial rock, Industrial techno, Industrial trance, Industrial DNB, Those "Sub-titles" work just as well in conjuction with dubstep, which is about what your 'brostep' sounds like.

 Re: Dubstep
I dont see the difference between this "Brostep" and Dubstep. At all... To me if it's hardcore bass going on with a decent electric synth in the back ground, Its dubstep. Also more UKF

Also more UKFI'm guessing the difference is how loud the frequencies are below 500Hz compared to everything else. Sadly by that logic I could just mess with the EQ on anything and it would magically be dubstep, which just shows how stupid that reasoning is. In other news, doobstap. Sadly I think all his remixes are identical.
