 Re: Art Dump
Cheers guys. I might try another at some point today but drawing anything with a track pad is a PITA. I should really learn to use the little nubbin thing that gets so little use, it seems like it would give a lot more fluid control if I could only... control it.

 Re: Art Dump
You could always try a pencil wrapped in tinfoil, that way it acts like a drawing pad. A really bad one missing the fluidity and pristine control, but better than using a finger, in my opinion.

 Re: Art Dump
A few sketches I did while trying to learn GIMP a little more. Between the laggy brushes and the sudden crashes and freezes it's not bad program.

 Re: Art Dump
@Mind, I say you should try to simplify your brush strokes, right now there's a lot of dark spots in random places and overall he's very cloudy, try to find places on him where it would make sense to be dark. Perhaps work on the design a little longer as well.
@Dr Evil, Thank ye!

 Re: Art Dump
Thanks for the advice, madmax. I tried to make the brush strokes not so random in these. I wish I could just get amazing without practice

 Re: Art Dump
That last guy reminds me of a character from an old Nick cartoon. Good work. They're definitely easier on the eye that's for sure. Mind wrote: I wish I could just get amazing without practice Don't we all...but then again, where would the joy be if we never got to experience our skills evolve?

 Re: Art Dump
That looks pretty goddamn sweet. Cheers!
Also, how the hell did you end up doing that? Most people don't even remember that Finland took part in the second world war.

 Re: Art Dump
Thanks. I chose him randomly while browsing WWII photos (not that I didn't know about their involvement) but it was just a coincidence.
