   |   Skirmishes, are they on the menu?I'm a noobie who bought Cortex Command in the HIB, and I've seen people talking about 'skirmish', but am unable to locate it.Is it under a different name?
(Also, if this is in the wrong section, sorry, I'm new to CC.)

Shortens to skirmish. Was skirmish in B23.

   |   Re: Skirmishes, are they on the menu?Except it would take just as long to get to the shortcut, if not longer, than going round the normal way.

   |   Re: Skirmishes, are they on the menu? The "normal way" as you put it requires you to scroll around a small dropdown box, which is tiresome. Likely the shortcut in question would be to put a menu item on the main menu that takes you directly to the scenario choice menu but with the skirmish option already picked, so you'd just have to pick a location onplanet and go.

   |   Re: Skirmishes, are they on the menu?I find it annoying that I have to go through a drop box.. why not make the menu bigger? I bet more then half the people playing this game are running a high enough resolution to fit a permanent list of all the game modes, or even a bigger area that you can scroll through without having to drop the boxlist.
It seems like a bit of a silly design IMO.

   |   Re: Skirmishes, are they on the menu?Hey, seeing as the Campaign link goes nowhere, why not just change it to skirmish.

   |   Re: Skirmishes, are they on the menu?YAAA, Work harder DATA!!! I have to move my index finger like...4 TIMES...
THATS 4 MOVEMENTS~ i didnt come here to work out

P.s: Why dont we have a versus button, its a bit silly to have them all crammed in, some being "missions", others being gamemodes
it would be nice, but, still not at all a big deal

   |   Re: Skirmishes, are they on the menu?Your sarcasm is unappreciated. Just as right now it takes only a few clicks to get to it, I'm sure making a shortcut on the main menu to skirmish is quite easy as well, no need for Data to work very hard on it. Hell, it might even be possible with a mod, since all of the GUI stuff is handled through .ini (just not the hooks to things in the game).EDIT: Did some research, looks like you can't make a shortcut just yet. The functionality of GUI items is still hardcoded, though you can reskin and move GUI items around.

For those running at a higher resolution the drop down is very small compared to all the other buttons. The selection is finicky and idk about you but my mouse stuff up in CC for no reason its very jittery and unresponsive.

   |   Re: Skirmishes, are they on the menu?Wait, are you recieving mouse lag in the menu?
If so, you might wanna get that checked. Even in gameplay, lag wouldn't particularly affect the cursor
 If I remember.

Ps.: wast data talking about converting the GUI to some kind of lua conversion?

   |   Re: Skirmishes, are they on the menu?Yeh it's just general mouse unresponsiveness and it jumps around.
And I have a really powerful extremely optimized PC so I know its not being caused by regular Lag.

   |   Re: Skirmishes, are they on the menu?Nope no mods are causing it, it sort of speeds up and slows down a lot. Also at the resolution I'm using the stupid drop down menu button is a tiny twitch of the mouse away from missing at all times.
