It's not as much the shading that needs work but the outlines.

This. I would also probably define clearer color blocks for the different areas... Maybe also make it a bit thicker (only 3px thick right now)

Oh, and hows this dueling pistol. As seen in this gif:

I think that looks really cool! I did do a bit of an edit on it, because I thought it would be fun. Basically I think it is awesome, except for the shading, so in my edit I tried to clean that up a bit. Basically the silhouette and the colors stayed exactly the same, but the arrangement of the colors changed

Ok, on to my stuff:
My newest version of the assault rifle I posted earlier, now tentatively entitled the RF8 Flechette Assault Rifle (mag NOT in photo, goes in slot in stock, bullpup style)

And the associated infantry support weapon, the IG65 Chemical Grenade Launcher (mag IS is photo, chemical grenade round also included)

Liking that dueling pistol.

This is the gun sprites I'm working on at the moment for a, destined to fail, gentlemens mod.
I know I need to put more work in but I've ♥♥♥♥ all time to work on things lately so any criticisms will help.

Cheers

I'm attempting a Helghast mod with a friend, anything wrong with these sprites?

I don't really like the SMG, and the colours on the rifle don't seem right.

Added one pixel in height, changed some of the the pinkish tones to grayer, added outlines.

If you're going to shrink sprites with anti-alias on and then touch them up, don't use a pink BG, use a more neutral one.

Cool, what do you think of the others, though? Are they ok?
I was going for a more... pixelated* look, with each one different to the next... sort of. Do you get what I'm saying?

* = Yeah, yeah, I just meant I wanted different colours. I think.

EDIT: Also, what do you mean, shrink them?

Never mind.
You should try to get a more solid shape on them, they look a bit fragile at the moment.

Thanks for posting the sprites I suppose Kettenkrad...
But next time could you inform me before you go changing them?
They are supposed to be MY weapons, not yours
I do find it aggravating when I ask for help and you practically resprite everything
Then take the mod, I do agree they look fragile, or maybe you made it look like they're made of scrap metal!

It's not like you own the rights to a killzone mod :/
Wait, who made those sprites again?

Haha I know
But its just something that kind of happened once before
I start a sprite, hey presto he finishes it and puts in a mod, but my sprite was quite subpar, granted he changed that and made it awesome
But I started these sprites, and he made them all "fragile"
Here they are before he "touched them up"
Keep in mind they were still a work in progress
But these were pretty much my first real weapon sprites :-(

@kettenkrad, walkablebuffalo: I have some pics of Killzone weaponry if you're interested, but they're from the first Killzone, mind you. If you guys want them in a .zip, PM me.

OK, I tried to make my first sprite (for CC), It's a headcrab (it doesn't look like it)
I need help! I know my shading sucks

EDIT: I used the Coalition Light's head for the size. Also, I didn't make the rear legs yet.
