Oh, k. Good thing, that - never heard of a successful one-man devteam honestly.

Dayum, that's a well kept secret. Presumably you're doing some if not all the spritework? Also what's happening about numgun's stuff?

Now you have bought the entire indie gaming community's collective rage down upon you, maybe you'll JUST FIX YOUR ENGINE?
I mean seriously, Cortex Command is FUN: awesome concept, fantastic, unique gameplay, and brilliant style. But all this is let down by the fact it hurts computers harder than most 3D games...
-snip-
All of your excuses would be reasonable if Cortex Command was free, but as soon as you start charging $20 (A hefty sum for an indie game in (an infinite) beta, check out minecraft!) you can't say 'no I can work how I want' If the game was finished, sure. But you can't sell someone a dishwasher that only works sometimes and then refuse to fix it, because you told them it may not be fixed when you sold it to them. I'm sorry, but just because you put a clause excuse in doesn't mean you won't alienate the community.

So much truth. (manlytear)
Also, quoted to avoid the end-of-page effect.

lmao nobody would want CC's source code, I am sure it's not pretty

you'd be better off re-coding the game from scratch with a threaded hardware-based approach, and then giving it to data if you really want to help

Hm Ophanim, rude namecalling and trolling isn't really motivating to spend more time in the forums.. also, If you had really bought my time, it would be a lot more expensive than what you paid for a license to a copy of the game. Then, you would have had legitimate reason to feel cheated by me not spending it as you think I "should". That's all I am going to discuss with you on the subject of how I choose to live my life.

Plus, I did apologize and lament not having a first playable draft of the campaign in this build. It was my hope and intention, and I am also disappointed it didn't make it in the timeframe dictated by the Bundle launch. That said, I am proud of the build that me and the team put together.. as the devlog post will explain, most of the work (however much or little there was) in it are in parts which are still not accessible or obvious yet, but will make a big difference down the road!

You all shouldn't be disappointed.
The activity system got revamped.
There is now a full-fledged GUI engine.
The performance was increased.
The campaign mode is in the works(but for some reason Data didn't give us access to it... :/)
There is now Linux port(though much slower than Windows version(which in turn is faster on Linux via Wine than on Windows....))
There are now 4 teams.
The game got balanced a bit.
AI is now smarter, and it can even navigate through teleporters.
And I'm sure there are many more changes under the hood...

Most of these things are blessing.

There was a performance boost?
I wouldn't really know since performance for me is always pretty smooth with nothing but vanilla stuff..B24 I haven't put in any mods or changed anything yet. Normally it's fairly crappy though D: FPS dies all the time with just some explosions...

They are clear as day, instead of lagging from a few dropships ramming into each other [And the subsequent gib fest] , it takes about a few dozen collisions, and a few dozen troopers shooting at eachother to slow it down.

I just had a dropship explode and fall on a few soldiers.
FPS dropped to like 10. Not seeing a performance boost.
