Hmm, you need some gameplay shots.

Re: Coming Soon... Check New Post
The gameplay isn't really something you can just take a screenshot of.
Plus caekdemon already posted an in-game screenshot last page.

Re: Coming Soon... Check New Post
I meant in the trailer.
And by "shot," I meant like a shot vid of gameplay. Not screenshot.

Re: Coming Soon... Check New Post
I originally had some, but it's not very fun to watch and a bit difficult to tell what exactly is happening. That said, my programmer art for the intro probably falls under the same two categories

Re: Gravity Garden
Well, this is a double post, but whatever. The game is done! Take a look at the first post for a download and some screenshots.

Crave it. Ahahah, very well. What can I say? It's a nice and fun game, specially considering that it was coded from the ground up. The characters were comically nice, and the dialog well-written. The extreme level of difficulty for some levels kind of turned me down, but I figure that could appeal to the more OCD players. Aaand... well, yeah, that's kind of it. That's the big downside of making a puzzle game: people won't develop fierce opinions over it, won't spam whole message boards discussing the best strategies or spend night and day trying to figure the romantic subplots. It's more of a self-contained experience, which may account for the low amount of feedback you guys are receiving.

I'll just be straight up wiht you and say this; the story is fun, the game not so fun.

Re: Gravity Garden - Dauss and TheLastBanana's Game
The level editor and the story makes the game, but Lizard is right. It's more the kind of little flash game I'll play for half an hour and never see again in terms of gameplay. Don't give up, though! This has some serious potential.
I would add some randomly awesome level modifiers, such as magnets or object oriented gravity [makes things go in circles].

Re: Gravity Garden - Dauss and TheLastBanana's Game
Yeah, it's not supposed to be a particularly complicated game. This was just a project that I figured would be small enough to learn C++ through it, and it turns out that it was, indeed. The fact that it was also featured on Jay is Games and that a fair number of people seem to like it (or at least the storyline) is just icing on the cake.

Re: Gravity Garden - Dauss and TheLastBanana's Game
Tried this a long time ago, and I liked it. The ending was an EPIC WIN. One thing though: it lags more than CC. Which is quite an achievement. I had to skip a few levels (by removing them from the levels list) because they lagged so bad that the flower shattered even on the solution replays.

Re: Gravity Garden - Dauss and TheLastBanana's Game
How long ago was that? The lag makes enough sense, since the engine is pretty poorly coded, but I thought I had fixed the plant shattering. Glad you enjoyed it anyway!

Re: Gravity Garden - Dauss and TheLastBanana's Game
I'd get back to modding this if I had some sprites for it.
