Data has several other people helping him create content. He releases a build, and then a year and a half later releases another build that adds absolutely ♥♥♥♥ all other than a couple menus and a couple minor physics tweaks, and in fact actually removes some rather neat content that the previous build had. He is also almost absurdly distant from the community he created other than popping up every now and then to dickwave at us resolve this shitstorm about B24.

Toady One, of Dwarf Fortress fame, has exactly one person helping him who does virtually nothing as far as actual development. He releases a build, and then a year and a half later releases another build that adds a metric crapton of content, followed by another update shortly after that adds *another* metric crapton of content. Toady is also very active in the DF community and very frequently updates the fans on what the hell is going on in development.

Toady's game is also free and supported by donations, as opposed to Data's game which costs money. Both are the sole sources of income for their developers.

There is no excuse for this bull♥♥♥♥. I love Cortex Command, and in fact I've been playing it since B17, so it pains me to see this kind of thing happen to such an awesome game.

If this is how Data is choosing to do it then this is the way hes gonna do it and I guess there isnt much we can do about it and if we try to take the aggresive way of intending of gaining his word then it seems to make things much worse.

If theres no point on complaining and cant accomplish anything with it then you shouldnt have the right to.

That's pretty damn useless. Don't just say "NO UR RONG" without elaborating or giving sources. I think that CC is Data's primary source of income, if not his only.

If Toady has a source of income other than donations, it's a well kept secret.

If anything, it probably makes him work less.

That would imply he's doing any work to begin with. As it stands, though, there's nothing to lose.

I don't see anything here that hasn't been said already.
We get it, you expected more development in however long it's been since last build, Data is lazy, [indie dev here] does a lot more for his community in less time, etc.
I hate to put my foot down but locked until/unless someone can give me a good reason why this should stay open.
