Mouse Issues
Hi all.
I have just downloaded this game via the Humble bundle download link, build 24?
On the main menu my mouse is extremely sluggish and its incredibly difficult to select anything. When I finally get in game its a little bit better but still hard to aim because of the jerkiness.
Does anyone else have this issue?

Re: Mouse Issues
Do you by any chance have the reports per second of the mouse on something over 125? I have this issue with my G9, navigating the menues with a gamepad now though.

Re: Mouse Issues
Thank you for the speedy reply. I have a G9X and lowering the sensitivity helped a lot. But I just realised I can use an X-BOX controller so I will probably get used to that.

Re: Mouse Issues
Not to bring up the Controller vs Mouse/Keyboard war here, Xbox controllers are the way to go because it's easy to do splitscreen with your fellows. I'd get used to one.

Re: Mouse Issues
I perfer PS3 controllers, got both the joysticks in a correct position plus it's easier to assign stuff like darkstorm's altfire buttons

Re: Mouse Issues
What I really meant was controllers in general. Though your Darkstorm point is quite valid.

Re: Mouse Issues
I actually have the same problem, but this problem started occurring right after I restarted my computer. I have a G9x (G500) as well. First, I thought it was some dirt in the lasers, but nope. Some people are having the same problem. Edit: Changing the polling rate to 125 does NOT work. Edit 2: Fixed the problem. I disabled and re-enabled the option "Use OS native drivers for pointer speed and acceleration", and then went into the mouse Windows settings, and turned on acceleration, and adjusted the speed back to 1, the way it was supposed to be.

Re: Mouse Issues
Set the DPI to under 1000.

Re: Mouse Issues
@fedor: thanks for your help! would be nice if you could specify your OS version though. From my experience: the game works fine on XP, no mouse issue. On Vista 64 though, same "stuttering"/"lagging" effect as Phenoxan described it. I downloaded the latest version of SetPoint for my G500, and I only had to uncheck the "Use OS native drivers for pointer speed and acceleration". No other Window setting change was necesary. That worked like a charm. For the german-natives out there, the Option can be found in SetPoint programm, "Überblick" / "Mauszeiger" / "Bearbeiten" / "Betriebssystemtreiber für Zeigergeschwindigkeit und -beschleunigung verwenden". Uncheck it. Done. HTH!
