MSPF is milliseconds per frame, you want that low.

Hitting ctrl+O makes the game skip graphical frames to keep the game in real time. When "ONE sim update per frame" is showing what we call "timescaling" is turned on, where the game forces itself to draw at least one frame in between each simulation, which on a slower computer leads to the game seeming like it's in slow motion.

Can you try pressing "2" quite a bit and see if that does anything for your speed issues?
Also checking the console for massive spammy output caused by a residual mod would be nice.
