   |   Re: Dwarf-DRL FortressCarve fortifications into the walls and stick a bunch of marksdwarves behind them. Make some ballistas and catapults. Fling some ♥♥♥♥ through fortifications.

   |   Re: Dwarf-DRL FortressOh hey I heard you have a kazillion ranged goblins so I thought I'd carve you some holes to shoot us through.

This fort has no ranged dwarves. The one that would appear to be a skilled marksdwarf is now a swordmaster.

 wtf?

   |   Re: Dwarf-DRL FortressI hate doing battle with ranged weapons. Close range, preferably with war-hammers, is the absolute dwarfish way.

   |   Re: Dwarf-DRL FortressMarksdwarf training is bugged. I never bother with it, especially since a full squad of Lords in steel will cut through nearly ANYTHING.

   |   Re: Dwarf-DRL FortressI remember having a hammer lord deal with a group of 10 orks alone. Yes, those that are 7 feet tall, don't feel pain or fall intro traps.

Build the ballistas and catapults first. Load them, have a dwarf at the ready, and as soon as the fortifications are done, fire away.

   |   Re: Dwarf-DRL FortressHow are things going, Findude? And whos turn is it next? I would like another turn. I really think I could get some good stuff ready, and maybe even get us some adamantine if I work hard enough!

   |   Re: Dwarf-DRL FortressThe liberties I took with the graphics was the Ironhand graphics set, with Mayday dwarves for some reason. And either pics or a story format is good, as long as you update us.

I like the default tileset.I gave the instructions a little while back for how to change it back when it comes your turn. It was a personal thing; and kept it because I was lazy. Anyways, yeah, feel free to turn it back to default when it becomes your turn. But be mindful that it will have the odd names with the boxes in them back.

   |   Re: Dwarf-DRL FortressYeah, and then me again.... I think.
Been experimenting with some new raws... would anyone be against me giving the ability to make metal beds at the smelter?
