Interesting theory. I cordially invite you to come here, and press the side of my Winchester 94's barrel against your cheek after I've fired it 20 times in moderately quick succession. Afterward, you may want to reevaluate your ideas on the matter while I get you some ice.

Oh, Azukki, you're so lucky you're allowed to have guns. Nerf guns are the closest thing we have here, not even BB guns :(.

My friend said he could get around the Australian gun laws by getting an air-powered nerf gun and heavily modifying it. I wouldn't put it past him, as he's done more drastic modifications before.

My dream. I may or may not have had a BB pistol from Japan, but it may or may not have broke.

Speaking of drastic modifications and overheating barrels, the source of inspiration of this mod is a project I intend to make: an extremely high capacity backpack magazine for a Marlin Model 60. Probably around 1100 rounds. I would explain its function, but I like to keep my possibly-profitable ideas to myself.
If it works out, though, I'll be sure to show you guys the results. For the neighbor's ears' sake, a full test may have to wait until Independance Day, since it would probably sound about like one of these going off in their front yard.

Anyway, back to the mod, a new weapon sprite wouldn't hurt :)

But I just made gibs for this sprite. :-( What's wrong with it? I know the whole outlining thing on the barrels doesn't quite look right, but if I did that right, then it would either be too big or it wouldn't be visibly obvious that there are multiple barrels.

I released V1.1, but the only additions were the inherited velocity exploitation disabling feature and the gibs.

They're not that bad, but I just don't like the blue... And I don't know why...

Well, most of my mods are made to be later recompiled as a part of Shadow Echelon, and that's their theme colors.
Dark blue polymer, blued and/or matte black finishes, stainless steel internals, and red translucent stuff.

Maybe I'll make a more regular gray recolor or something though, I dunno.

It should be equip-able to any actor and abel to be shot into pieces off your back.

It would be nice if we could both attach it to any actor, as well the ability to refill the ammo supply. Maybe a little base module that when you walk into spawns a code that replaces your empty pack with a full one?

The latter is already possible, although the pieces are just MOPixel sparks and oil. I hadn't thought to add backpack gibs, for some reason.

I have an idea! When it's shot, it losses some of the shots it has, like 10%? and makes some bullets (casings) fly out of the pack.

Because that's what's meant to happen.

Other actors aren't supposed to use it; they don't have the backpack, so they can't fire the gun. Ideally they just wouldn't be able to fire it, but it was far easier to disable them from using it by making them drop it.

Later on I'll try to make the backpack equip-able by other actors somehow, but I'm not well experienced with artificial lua attachments.

Nahh. If they were just loosely in a container on the back, that could make sense, but with the magazine design I had in mind, all of the cartridges follow the same path, so if a portion of that path were destroyed, all of the ammo behind that point in the path would be unusable.
