My solution to insomnia is to either:
1. Take a nice hot bath. And drain some of my blood. And stand up suddenly.
2. Play/mod/somewhere in between Cortex.

I wouldn't either, but I still end up being extremely tired and end up falling asleep doing important things. Like class, or driving.

Also not sleeping gets me sick fast.

Well ♥♥♥♥ that failed. Got home today, feel asleep instantly. Had to work on my essay, do some french, and study physics. Still exhausted.

They say that light is one of the most important cues there is for your body to go to sleep.

In caveman days when we were at the heart of our evolutionary cycles, we had the sun, the moon, and the occasional fire to provide us light, but now we have electric lights of all shapes and sizes, and most importantly, we have COMPUTER MONITORS.

That's right, sitting and staring at a giant light bulb all night isn't going to convince your brain that its night-time/bedtime.
Thus, (as someone mentioned earlier) messed up circadian rhythms and messed up sleep.


Anyway, what helps for me is taking a nap at about five o`clock.
For some reason, I can always fall asleep for a nap, but never for bed.
I always feel better after a nap (and I dream a lot more during them too).

Yeah, night lights screw you up if you're trying to sleep. It takes me an hour or two more than usual to get to sleep if I have a large-ish light in it, so if I go to bed late that generally means I don't end up sleeping.

Beating insomnia is easy, learning to meditate can kill it pretty quick. Also, I haven't been bored in at least a year. Yay mental exercise.

Then I ran out of weed. And money.
I have surround sound now though, so, I guess that's worth a few hours.
