Capnbub's game
Seems to be a lot of people showing off their games in progress here so I thought I'd join in, also I thought some of you guys might like to know what I'm up to these days. The game currently requires you to have the Unity webplayer installed, I'll release a standalone version you can run outside of a browser when it's finished though. Here's a link to the website if you want to try it: Capnbub's Game

Re: Capnbub's game
It's really weird, I was looking through the Art Dump and found something on exactly this game yesterday. Good to see capnbubs is still with us.
The game lags really badly on my pc, which made playing it nearly impossible. I have had this problem with unity before, so I guess I'll have to wait for the standalone.

What browser, graphics card are you using? Did turning off the shadows make any difference? I don't have much to test it on really, all the PCs I have readily available are, at least, midrange shader model 3 cards.

Re: Capnbub's game
I'm using Google Chrome and my graphics card is a "Mobile Intel 915GM/GMS, 910GML Express"
Er... I didn't know that until just now.

Er... I didn't know that until just now. Hmm... it might be the graphics card that's the problem, I don't think I've built it to scale down very well at the moment.

Damn. That is seriously pretty. Like, some of the best work I've ever seen in Unity, period, and it's running great in my browser. A++

Re: Capnbub's game
I doubt this is a problem on your end, but it says I have to install the Unity player, even though I've done that 3 times.

Re: Capnbub's game
Gameplay is good. I like the health meter, and the small attack/big attack/dodge triad has been proven to work well.
Niggling complaints: How do I get new health? How do I tell, exactly, that I'm about to die? Also, the firesprite thing seems like it's leading me places when it's just following me around.
