Does what the title says. This I whipped up about an hour ago just for something to make for the competition.

Instructions:

1. Aim up and across the enemy base.
2. Fire and reload as many times as needed.

Cause havoc from afar, while you're safe at home!

I didn't test it all that extensively, so I'm uploading this in hope that it all actually works. Please tell me if it doesn't :grin:

Well it works, exept in multiplayer when you play as the second team the drones hunt you even if you fired them, also

That's to be expected. I could make a second launcher, but the contest says that there's only to be one gun.

I wouldn't think this is at all breaking that rule, because this mod is only a gun and one actor that you can't purchase, as opposed to the full mod, which is entirely different in that its an army, with an activities. This mod is about the gun, not the single actor it includes as ammo.

Squeegy, I would like a list of differences between this mod and your original mod.

So far, this seems very close to your other mod, with a slightly different deployment method.

From the top of my head:

-This mod is only gives one gun
-No buyable actors or crafts or an activities
-The drone is a component of the gun and can only be obtained by firing it
-No Lua
-The 'micro' drone is very much the same as the one included before, spare a few tweaks here and there. They still hunt brains and whatnot
-The drones are alive as soon as they are launched, as opposed to originally when they would hit the ground before deploying
-Deploying isn't ammo dependant (as much as I would like it to be, but that needs lua)

In a nutshell this is a gun made to launch the micro drone. It isn't the mod I've previously entered, nor even 10% of it. I wouldn't have thought borrowing content is a problem.

2/10 only because its just a grenade launcher only with retards. i would rather just throw a heavy and let it rape everything.

I like it very much.
Great addition to R.E.T.A.R.D.S. army.
Useful and powerful enough, probably a little bit overpowered.

Add "Discardable = 0" to magazine code, so it will just disappear on reload.

This mod should take the second place in contest, it's great.
But shook is beating you, sorry :D

ok sorry for my douchebageryness but it is a good no lua mod. it does shoot them far which is good. but if you would make the ammo configurable to select which retard to shoot it would get a nice score.

alex is right it should get second place

I think a lot of people are missing the point of mod contests. It's not to show who's the most popular or who has the best mod, it's to get people to make mods.

I think I had resorted to trying to get the ejection to collide with the discarded magazine to gib it, but it seldom (if at all) worked.

After making some improvements to this I'll add it to the base mod and incorporate some lua. It'll work like the selectable ammo grenade launcher so you can switch between different retard variants to stick on the launcher.
