Re: Any news on a new build???
Yeah. But I will probably stick with B23 cause ALL of my favorite mods will won't be compatible. So i'd most likely wait until most if not all of my favorite mods are converted. Either that or someone makes a "converter".

Re: Any news on a new build???
Why would they be incompatible? As far as we know, there won't be significant structure changes and a syntax rewrite is unlikely.

Re: Any news on a new build???
.ini coding is not likely to change much, nor lua apart from adding some stuff. I doubt it will break a great deal of mods.

Re: Any news on a new build???
The only thing that might really screw up mods are Base or other vanilla dependant mods. I'm unsure as to whether the files will be reorganised, but if they are, like they have been between other builds, many mods will have issues. I guess that's why people shouldn't make mods that have to rely on something else.

Re: Any news on a new build???
All this modding is great, and it keeps what there is of CC quite fresh, but it's still going to be a very long time before we have a fully complete game in our hands. I want levels, missions, tasks. Unlockable weapons and something other than gold to dig out of the ground.

Re: Any news on a new build???
Hmm , Unlockable Weapons now theres a good idea. And for the Task Idea i like that it would be a bit like a daily goal or something so you can unlock something or some sort of Score System.
Just Throwing this out there "Cortex Score"

Re: Any news on a new build???
A lot of what you just suggested sounds suspiciously like some sort of MMO. But seriously man, stop it with suggesting something for Cortex in like every other post. Keep it to your ideas thread.

Re: Any news on a new build???
Please stop with the awful metaphors. I'll be interested to see how much is actually fixed in B24. Hopefully a couple of things will be less broken than they are currently, at least.

Re: Any news on a new build???
I just realised my last awful metaphor was in the other topic like this one. I guess I must just get sentimental over the thought of a new build.
I think most of the changes will be minor bugfixes and the like, but the most noticeable changes will be a shuffle of vanilla content and an Lua update.

I think closed windows probably end up dirtier than open ones, unless you live in an area where people regularly throw mud through open windows
