 Re: Art Dump
might not be considered art, though getting just the right shot is.

 Re: Art Dump
You just reminded me of a great shot I missed some days ago: the sky was a dark gray, not quite black, and the moon was more or less in the middle of the sky. Tt was a dusty, subtle yellowy white. I reminded myself to shoot it later but forgot. Damn.

Damn. ahh yes thats quite common, or the lack of a decent mirror reflex camera... low lighting really sucks. thunderclouds are also a nice subject , if you are patient enough. shot 200 pics that night, 2 or 3 hours. with a dozen not being totally black. Rendered some pchat thing. not entirely happy with it but it was fun to do a dynamic pose for once. I really need to get a cleaner linework process going though, too sketchy at this scale <_<

 Re: Art Dump
*gasp* Heavily WIP. The idea is to have an accessible editor and map interchange format, fairly simple gameplay and multiplayer (ew, flash networking). One thing I want to focus on making a game accessible to everyone, not just hardcore people. I'm making heavy intentional homage to N, Canabalt, and a bit of Megaman and Cortex Command. There are aspects of Arnes pixels showing through too (particularly the eyes). I'm keeping the sprites and game low colour so churning out content should be harder to get tied down in. However, I'll be working on this in tandem to Prelude if it happens. The dithering is just a test, but whatever. Rip it to bits, I want to polish this aesthetically while keeping with a NES-ish palette (the only non-NES colour is the dark grey at the moment (afaik, anyway)) before doing too much coding. Coding is too addictive -> time sink. tl;dr: I want to make a little shooter. Blog Post

Pretty good otherwise, and I really love the sketchy style you ahve.

 Re: Art Dump
I guess I might as well post this here. I fully intend on this being the boss battle theme for one of my games. In fact, I have a game in mind. That said, I have other games to work on first.

 Re: Art Dump
I should really stop wasting time in school. I did the figure and the pants, someone suggested adding liquor and a revolver.

 Re: Art Dump
Me too, that's why I draw a lot of those kind of things in school (99% of them go unsaved (art is temporary)). I'll have to kill that habit for a few weeks though, studyyyy <_<
