Re: Roll To Dodge - Blue
PREQUEL DM IS HERE TO HELP FOA GET KINESI THIS IS YOUR CHANCE I think everyone should work together. Power attacks, yaknow? For example, Crazy could throw up some water and dhart could heat it to the point it becomes plasma, to REALLY screw up the drone's electronics. THINK PEOPLE THINK Try to bypass the hail of bullets. Use a different angle, theoretically AND literally.

Everyone, get behind me. Turn visible again. Then use Safeguard and continue to advance.

Re: Roll To Dodge - Blue
@Yoman: Hence why I'm increasing my altitude, broski. Hopefully only a few will follow (if any), though I assume it depends on the roll. Electricity has a natural tendancy of traveling downwards, so I'm kind of going to be doing the whole DEATH FROM ABOVE BLARGH style on these mofos. Unfortunately, I need a turn or two to rest, so I'll probably be inert for the next roll.
Still. Fair course of action.

Re: Roll To Dodge - Blue
Yoman, I've actually thought of all of that. And I asked hyper a while ago, the bots are NOT water proof. So, flooding them with water should do as much damage as flooding them with plasma, while being much easier.
However, Hyper has made it clear he wont let me one-shot all of them by flooding them with water.
And I actually AM doing a combo action using Ragdoll's thundercloud.
Making a five foot thick wall of water in front of the part to block bullets was going to be my next action.

Re: Roll To Dodge - Blue
Oh wait, just realized I could have a much better action. Editing out my previous one. >Gain altitude with Ethereal Wings until I fly into a thundercloud; drain the energy as best as I can and direct it all towards the bots, using a quantity over quality ratio. @Quantity/Quality -> I'd prefer a few dozen bolts of regular strength lightning over two or three bolts of positive lightning. Definitely need some area denial over individual destruction in this case; might not destroy everything I hit (if I hit anything) but I'll at least temporary stun it. More of a supporting attack than anything. Also love how 5 of our 6 rollers have magical weapons (Deca Bow/Gauntlets for MLC, Wolfhunt for Tomaster, Lady Killers for Foa, Durendal for myself, and Cryolight for HEN) Yoman987 wrote: I think everyone should work together. Why bother heating water to a vapor to a plasma when we have two people who can produce lightning out of their arse?

Kinesis, bleh. And props if you supercharge my bullets, I wonder what nasty effects that'll have on their targets.

Re: Roll To Dodge - Blue
HIGH TIME I ROLLED, DONTCHA THINK?
CrazyMLC [6]: "TRY THIS!" Your Electrokinesis directs lightning from Ragdoll's miniature thunderstorm into one of the nearby drones. As it does, three adjacent to it deploy rod-like antenna from their backs. The lightning immediately stops zapping the drone, and flips over to the antennae, draw to them like lightning rods. The drone you shocked stays up for a bit, but quickly falls down into the water with a splash. Problem is, you've depleted the natural electricity in the area with that, and the drones have a large electrical charge stored... 2/2 Active Abilities: - Perfected Elemental Kinesises (Fire, Air, Water, Earth, Light, Electricity) --- #-Point Star --- Kinetic Trance --- Healing Light 2/2 Passive Abilities: - Mythical Power - Photosynthetic Regeneration 4/4 Inventory: - DecaBow - DecaBow Quiver - Nautical Shiv - Impurities --- 2 small Diamonds --- Small amount of precious metal --- Crystallized Insanity 1/2 Equipped: - Gold Gauntlets (Right: Wiffles' Orb | Left: Pure Electric Orb) Injuries:
Tomaster [5]:"Bah, this isn't working. Safeguard!" You switch off your invisibility and draw WolfHunt. You hold the blade in front of you while you fly, and use another of Blue's techniques, forming a shield in front of you out of the same extended pentagons Blue used for her shields. You can hear and see the big, heavy bullets ping off your shield with no more force than BBs. You continue to fly forward, speeding up since Safeguard is cutting through the air ahead of you. You slam into one of the drones, destroying its main gun and dislodging a metal box on its back. It reels backwards from you. "AWESOME!" "Foa, why don't you try to, you know, HELP!" "Oh, derp." 2/2 Active Abilities: - Invisibility - Super Reflexes (+1 to anything involving reflexes, activate automatically) 2/2 Passive Abilities: - Wing (+1 if flying) - Super Strength (+1 to any rolls involving strength, moderate protection from impacts) 4/4 Inventory: - 1 BLKBST Syringe Cartidge (40 Syringes) - 1 Mostly Harmless Syringe Cartridge (25 Syringes) - Butterscotch (Kitten) - ShadowKiller's Skull 2/2 Equipped: - WolfHunt --- Butenko Raisen --- Piercer of the Heavens --- Blue Screamer --- Safeguard - Force Amplifiers (+1 to any rolls involving strength)
Foa [4]: Tomaster drops the invisibility, puts up a shield, and charges through the hail of bullets at the drones. He rams into one of the drones, and you can't help but exclaim your excitement. "AWESOME!" "Foa, why don't you try to, you know, HELP!" "Oh, derp." You don't know why it hadn't occurred to you before. With Tomaster holding you in place around the midsection, you take out your LadyKillers and fire at the Drone through the Safeguard. The segment of the shield winks out to let each shot pass, and each shot finds its mark in the drone Tomaster rammed. Two hit its optics, one its wing, and the killing shot hits it in the body. With the last shot, a splintering noise erupts from the drone and it spits a large amount of fragments of propeller into the air, then falls to an untimely demise. As it does, it fires all 4 micromissiles on its good wing upwards towards you and Tomaster. "Ohshi- MISSILES!" 0/2 Active Abilities: 0/2 Passive Abilities: 2/4 Inventory: - HIGH-SPEED HANDCANNON - 4 Mags for LadyKillers (Current Mags: 16|16) 2/2 Equipped: - Fedora - LadyKillers (Dual Kickass Desert Eagles) Injuries: - Missing Left Boot
Ragdollmaster [6-1=5]: Much as you'd love to rain thundering death down on the drones, the only cloud in the area was used up by MLC a moment ago. Instead, you leap onto one of the drones and stick Durendal into its rotor. The incredibly sharp blade slices the rotor to ribbons, and the drone drops a few feet before its Antigrav pods kick in fully. The Drone flips upside down, dumping you off, then fires its full 8 micromissiles at you, following up with a barrage from its main guns. 2/2 Active Abilities: - Mega Electrokinesis - Ethereal Wings 0/2 Passive Abilities: 4/4 Inventory: - Satchel --- Whistle --- Orange Smoke Flare --- A Fake Mustache - Keyring - Flask of "Sunshine" - Carved Obsidian Key menacing with Spikes of Donkey Leather 1/2 Equipped: - Durendal Injuries: - Exhausted (-2 to next 2 rolls) - Missing Right arm/leg
HighEndNoob [6-1=5]: The drones are now significantly closer, and you think that your cryokinesis might be able to do some damage now. To test this, you form a huge number of razer sharp ice needles in the ocean water below, then shoot them upwards into the drone swarm. Most are broken apart on the drones' armor or miss, but two of the drones are hit in their missile pods, which detonate. One is damaged too much to continue flying, and falls to its death. The other has its rotor intact, and stays airborne, but doesn't look like it can fight any more. 1/2 Active Abilities: - Cryokinesis 1/2 Passive Abilities: - Umbriantic Regeneration 0/4 Inventory: 1/2 Equipped: - Cryolight (BlueMetal Halberd) Injuries: - Groin Pain (-1 to rolls) - Missing right foot/leg (-1 to rolls, bleed out in 3 turns)
dhart5000 [2]: "Burn!" With the drone swarm practically on top of you now, you try heating up the ocean below, and get the same result as before. You just can't control your abilities well enough at this distance to do anything against them. Maybe if you got onto one... 2/2 Active Abilities: - Bullettime (+1 to rolls, +2 to combat rolls, can use every other turn) - Thermokinesis 1/2 Passive Abilities: - Super Agility 0/4 Inventory: 0/2 Equipped: Injuries:
Game Events: DRONES: 10/24 KILLS: Fiona: 8 Ragdoll: 2 MLC: 1 Foa/Tomaster: 1 Ragdollmaster: 1 HEN: 1
At this close range, the drones are much more accurate, but the rollers are also more defensive now. Most of the rollers avoid harm, with the exception of Ragdoll and HEN. HEN takes a .50 cal round directly in his lower leg, one of the few exposed parts of his body. It goes numb with only a cold burn, no screaming pain of a bullet hitting it. He lifts his leg up so he can see it past Fred's arms, and sees why it doesn't really hurt. Everything from his shin down is blown off. .50 cal rounds are big boy bullets. Get hit in the chest and you shouldn't expect to live. Ragdollmaster is worse off than HEN. Then first Micromissile hits and detonates, setting off the other 7 in a chain reaction. The explosion engulfs Ragdoll, and the doomed drone continues to pelt the cloud of smoke and fire with bullets until it finally impacts the water, destroying it. The smoke slowly drifts away, and reveals Ragdoll to be missing almost all of his right half. He has Durendal gripped tight in his right hand, and electricity is crackling from his wounds as they struggle to reform.
Fiona, uncaring of the Rollers, leaps off of Frederic's back, directly into the fray of the drones. She takes close range shots at drones, making direct, fatal hits each time. When her Railsniper runs out of charge, she holsters it on her back and removes a sleek handgun and a combat knife from shoulder holsters. You wouldn't have guessed it from her looks, but she's amazingly agile, leaping between drones and assassinating them with ease. In total, she kills 6 more drones before leaping off and diving towards the water Laura Croft style.

Re: Roll To Dodge - Blue
Wait, wait, I say "Gain altitude and use lightning" and you make me bum-rush the drones with Durendal?
:|
Could have at least given me a single kill for a 5, seeing as a 6 granted me two. *generic grumble grumble*
"Eff. Pulling out!"
Would Ether count as an element in of itself? You know, incorporeal magickhul stuff?
If yes, then:
REDACTED ACTION! Just realized I probably shouldn't try to change Durendal's current elemental affiliation, might just complicate things more. Besides, I don't have "Etherkinesis", so I suppose I couldn't really use Ether with Durendal.
If no, then:
>Use Durendal to heal right arm and leg with electricity.

"Damn, I need to get closer." Get Blue to drop me onto one of the drones, then melt its metallic face off.

Ragdoll: The reason you are gonna have trouble regenning and that you didn't do the action you wanted is because there aren't any clouds around to gather friction and electricity.

That would be freezing your wound, not splinting it.
