Post Re: Interview with Data
Excitement and anticipation that today might be the day that it is released, as opposed to a concrete date where it is expected and around which the excitement and anticipation is exclusively gathered.

...but it isn't a concrete date. It's some time around December.

It's two months. After the long wait, I am happy.

Data: yes, early dec
for b24
that is fairly certain, since it has to coincide with an event we're planning with some other studios

Data Secretly is friends with gabe newel and is intentionally planing on B24 being overshadowed by the announcement of HL2 Ep 3 by valve in early December.

Seriously though, I just have 2 things on my mind to ask about B24, one of them is answered above, the other was : "So a while ago, new designs for the coalition, and various others where displayed. Are these new versions of them being included, or replace the existing units?"... Other than that, The rest of this information doesn't matter to me. great to know though... Makes me wanna work on something as practice...

So, with the help of Duh, I have informed Data of the IsScrap problem!
Read the full discussion here.

(This means IsScrap will probably work in B24.)

Congratulations! Another landmark achievement! You actually got him to do something! You just got yourself another god point there.

I love how he keeps going "wait what something's broken?"

"It can't possibly be broken, I made it! You must be doing something wrong, because it sure wasn't me."

I don't think so, Daniel.

Hey, ask him if he thought my 3D realms joke was good. IT WAS A TRUE ZINGER, IF I MAY SAY SO MYSELF.

More definitive proof Data doesn't actually read the forums.

Good to know there's at least one person who was able to pound some obvious "Hey this doesn't work" into his head.

You should remember though....awareness of a problem and fixing a problem are two completely different things.

I'm still saying that CrazyMLC needs a fancy title, like "Teh Propheet".

I thought TLB had a already told him about the IsScrap issue?
Still, hopefully this actually will be working, come B24.

As I understand it, TLB sent him something, but whether or not he could be bothered to do anything about it is a different story.

To the people that have their hopes up now, don't, because this could mean that:
B24 will be here in december, 2011
B24 won't be here for several years

Data is less reliable than a ~1980 french car. I'd trust a rabid dobermann not to grab me in the nuts before trusting Data doing something he actually promises. See first, then believe.
