I'm holding out hope that there'll be a bunch of awesome things waiting for us that noone expected.

Re: Forum activity
Occasionally post in GD or MR, but less so now that modding activity has pretty much fallen off the charts.

I think we were forced out of the "punch the new kid" phase by weasel, and now we're into the "Reluctantly putting up with the idiots and waiting for the next build" phase.

Re: Forum activity
Well that's unfortunate. I loved to 'punch the new kid'.

Re: Forum activity
Eh, I can see it coming full circle. We're never that bad anyway, just a little coarse.

Re: Forum activity
To be honest unless the new stuff is incredible and game-changing (and I doubt it, it's just going to be the metagame and some content made by hired modmakers) I think it's been so long between builds that I doubt I'll even play the new release more than once. This has been such a long stretch of nothing that I've pretty much lost all interest in this game :(

Re: Forum activity
He has a valid point.
How can anyone be expected to keep renewed interest in a game even its creator doesn't carry?
Honestly I hope sometimes that an actual game publisher comes along and buys up the rights to the game and gives it some proper treatment.

Re: Forum activity
I agree. Even if they completely ruin the Indie spirit, at least we'll get some progress.
And Metal Chao is right, there isn't really going to be anything new. perhaps some new lua attachables for cavecricket to play with, but honestly, I don't even expect a full metagame.

alphagamer774 wrote: perhaps some new lua attachables for cavecricket [b]and Darlos[/b Fixed. But yeah, progress tends to be slow when you have a relatively small team of developers fragmented across the globe in different timezones trying to work on the same project while simultaneously doing everything else in their lives. They are not a full-time professional team, guys. Here's where I would make some kind of comparison to 3D Realms to make everybody feel better about the slow progress, but ♥♥♥♥, even Duke Nukem Forever has a release date now.

Re: Forum activity
Trying to comprehensively list the modders which would benefit greatly from easy attachable script execution and otherwise better implementation would be near incredibly difficult.
