Fort Zombie
"Gordon, the gun is down, get back in here!"Mia's voice competes with the loud report of Dafred's Thompson. They say he wears his red bandanna for luck, and he hasn't been hit yet. "Damnit, there are too many of them. Brutus, I need you to try and hold them off."Even in the face of impossible odds, Brutus smiles and cradles his sawn-off shotgun as he heads outside. "First man on the ground.""Brutus, stay near the fort, it's too dangerous!""I'll be f-""BRUTUS!""UCK!"With no time to mourn the loss of his treasured shotgun, Brutus flies haphazardly back into base. Mia turns to face Gordon, but he is already heading back outside. The other gun is down, but Dafred is still holding the horde at bay. Gordon lands hard on the top of the bunker, firing his rifle ineffectually at two engineer zombies. "Gordon, there isn't anything you can do, pull back, pull back!"Gordon is quick to go back inside, when part of the bunker explodes inwards, Mia has no time to shout as shrapnel hits her in the mouth. Gordon grabs his rifle and him and Mia concentrate fire. Satisfyingly, the metal and fire is replaced by blood and the view of a blue sky. Dimitri heads outside to examine the extent of the damage, and is greeted by a shower and gibs. "That's it. It's over.""For now, at least. We have have two men badly wounded, both cannons are down, and we're a gun short.""Everyone get back inside, Dafred, that means you too."Mia cuts through the chatter, finding her voice again. "Thankfully, no one is dead, despite their best efforts."Brutus is blissfully unaware of the conversation above him as the diamorphine finds it's way through his veins. "It's only four more days until the shuttle gets here."

This is enjoyable. The images don't work for me though. However, don't bother with them. The story's quite awesome without em.

What a coincidence, that If remember, the main character of that game is also called gorden.

This was just a quick thing I threw together purely because I was enjoying myself so much. I wasn't planning to do any more, but if I'm in the mood there may be some more episodes.

Yeah, I'll probably crop the pictures when a get a spare moment.
The turrets are something I made as (I think) a request, from ages ago.

Accidental credit steal: go! spungypirate made them originally, but I took them up and got them into a more complete stage. viewtopic.php?f=75&t=18220I'll probably release once I've worked out a couple of kinks and got some better sprites for them.
