Can you sort of explain to me what each tile is meant to do?
It also appears that the backing tile's support calculations override the fact that the tiles are in contact with the ground, making them weaker than they would otherwise be in such a case.

This is a large problem that I intend to fix tonight. There'll be a bunch of smaller gibs for showering and the current gravel for when a tile actually breaks. I just wanted to get the current build out there.

Box/wall (G): meant to be a generic unit of "wall" style tile. I'll prevent you from building this into walls at some point, too.
Platform/flooring (H): for building bridges and whatnot, or flooring over normal dirt.
Horizontal and Vertical sticks (J and K): for building things above ground level.
Stick Junction (L): for giving support in more directions.

not sure what you mean with the whole "in contact with the ground thing"..?

Build a big rectangle of blocks on the ground, as high as it lets you before it start crumbling as you put them in.
Then add supports behind it.

Oh, right. Yeah, that's not desired but is a consequence of every tile getting and receiving an equal amount of support from its associated tiles. I think I'll make it subtractive rather than a quotient, because currently even though the supports only require 1 support they'll take their share anyway. Reworking the support mechanic will be a ♥♥♥♥♥ though, but I'll look into it..
Till then, it's just a quirk I suppose..

Anyway, I'm liking the game. :)

The damage from gibs seems to be a lot more balanced... but still a bit high.

Loving the building stuff Geti, Although a tad bit weak. Just a bit... Yeah you should really increase the Structural Integrity and support on that ♥♥♥♥ Geti... And I think I've spotted some overlapping with some BG tiles.

Do we know when we might get the all and mighty .22 also?

Keep It up.

EDIT: And to let you know the debugging tool lets you kill zombies with the gibs from floating tiles, Maybe give the system some kind of denial setting so that you can't rain hell with small wood chips? Then again its a debugging tool..

EDIT 2: One more thing is certain gibs should do certain damage which would make much more sense and possibly more satisfaction towards gameplay. If you have bits of grass fall on you it should do crap all, but if it were a full on rock crumble then it should deal more damage.

I currently only know these controls:

    Z = Dig
    X = Crouch
    Space = Jump
    A/S = Switch Weps
    Click = Make random block?

This is good news.

@coops: Certain gibs do do a set amount of damage, plant gibs can't hurt you at all. I'll make some more gibs now actually, to balance the current issues out, and make a set of "wood" gibs for all the wooden stuff (and trees, once they're in).

Because it's a debugging tool I'll likely not put any denial on building in for a bit.

also: ff average play time today is 13 minutes 12 seconds up from the average 8:15.

a few bugfixes coming soon, probably, especially those related to the shovel penetrating walls (I'm going to use a raycast rather than a specific position for them, which means I need to write raycasting code to interact with actors)

Huzzah! Geti used my picture...

To the point of the comment, I still think we need a little bit more support. Almost impossible to make a bridge, I'd maybe say verticle support should be increased by quite a bit. Still fun to build a base of your own and fend off the zombs though..

And is there some kind of altitude restriction towards building supports (Globaly)? Because I can't seem to build anything after 2 - 3 blocks at the highest point in the map yet I can get up to 5 down in lower parts of the map.

Good job so far.

Current tiles, I built that with the in-browser version from the site.

@coops: more support will be coming, but you've also got to think about the differences between putting a stick into soil or gravel with clay (the first two layers) and jamming it into rock, it'll stay a lot stronger in the rock. I definitely agree though, I'll see what I can do tonight before I vanish.
