Re: Halo: Reach
Reach is like an orgasm. But it's a video game.

Re: Halo: Reach
Played the Heroic campaing trough with cousin on the weekend. Fun stuff.
Firefight is still very fun, especially with custom loadouts. (Stealth+sword ftw)
Altough seeing how effective the DMR is compared to everything else, I can only imagine how stupid the online gameplay is.

Re: Halo: Reach
Actually, most game types start you off with the assault rifle like Halo 1 did, so there's a bit more breathing room between players right off the bat. And thanks to the single-shot mode versus the BR's burst firing, online play has actually been tolerable enough for me to creep back onto live again.
Has anyone had the turret blown off their Scorpion/Wraith yet? Awesome and horrible at the same time.

Re: Halo: Reach
I've played this, and I hate it. But only saying that would mean a warning or ban(?), for necro and non-constructive commenting. So:
I got the soundtrack, and man oh man, does it sound good. My favorite parts of the game are the graphics and the soundtrack. I've listened to the first four tracks, out of twenty, and it is my second favorite music from a game, ever, so far. first favorite is the Tribes 2 OST
That said, who else thought the soundtrack was the best part, or one of the best parts (of the game), and compared to other Halo games, how is it?

Re: Halo: Reach
I have to say, that soundtrack is beast.
Reach is different than the other Halo games. It's quite different, in fact. Kind of hard to explain. Long an the short: If you hate H3, you might like Reach. Might. If you hate Reach, you might like any of the other ones. It sort of plays like the old COD games, with a little bit of BFBC thrown in there. Hard to explain.
Forge mode completely redeems any flaws this game may have. Honestly. It's like a real, full-blown map editor. And forge world is ♥♥♥♥ HUGE.
Also, Game contains Quiddich with guns.
Enough said.

Re: Halo: Reach
I've been seeing screenshots of people with emille's armor and stuff, which looks SICK. Problem is that I can't see a lot of that extra crap in my armory, and since I'm maxed out with my level, doubt I ever will.
But that was before I found out that the halo community needs to hit (?)170,000,000 completed challenges in order to unlock the next set of ranks.

Re: Halo: Reach
Agreed. Armory sucks more than it did in H3. Especially the shioulder pads, they look like they're velcroed on, but they sit high off the shoulder, so its even more akward.

Re: Halo: Reach
The starting helmet also looks retardedly wide. I don't like many of the helmets in that game, and I think they screwed up the customization, starting at ODST. I think they could've tried at least a little bit harder to make the game look like the first halo. They made the guns look more advanced than in Halo 1.

Re: Halo: Reach
Glad to hear that somebody shares that perspective. I just heard the part of the soundtrack where they re-use some of the Halo 3 OST, and it made me part nostalgic, part ticked-off. I might break out the old OSTs, too, then...
