So a few days ago my CC just randomly stopped working. When I open it, it pops up on the taskbar but no window comes up. I checked it's memory use and it stops around 4200kb. Anyone have any idea whats going on? I'm on vista 64 bit.

Check your taskmanager processes. Is anything to do with CC on there? It would certainly help identify the problem.

yeah, thats how i checked its memory usage.

Is it in program files?

No it's on my second drive that i use for games.

Try making a fresh install, if it works just move your mods and setting.ini.

freshly installed it, deleted registry files, even ran it in compatability mode, its like my computer has decided it doesnt wanna run cc anymore.

Try moving the folder containing the game to your desktop.

Same result. Nobody has ever had this problem?

I've had something similar before and it was due to the antivirus, sandbox or defense. Deactivating Comodo Internet Security fixed it that time.

Tried closing just about every unnecesary background process, still nothing. I'm giving up on this I guess.

Interesting update, however. When cortex command is running, even though it stops using processing power & memory, It won't let me use the mouse in other games. I tried to run CC, it didn't work ofc, so I just left it on. Then I started up Mass Effect 2, and when I got to the menu, the cursor was the ME2 cursor, but nothing happened when I clicked on stuff. So, on a hunch, I alt-tabbed out & ended the CC process. Opened up ME2 again, and sure enough the mouse worked fine, didn't even have to restart it. Odd coincidence. Maybe it's stuck trying to go to an impossible resolution or something?
