Re: Art Dump
That's a lot better. I know what you mean with the strap, I tried to do a comparison pic and just ended up making myself angry at the pixels.
Re: Shading: the left shoulder of the blonde should really be hidden behind some back unless she's got some dislocation going on.

I wanted to do an edit to show what I think could be fixed with her... things. Also I did some AA. And other random stuff that has no real bearing on any problem, just me messing around. (Mainly on the hair.) I might have ruined the style, though.

Re: Art Dump
WARNING - BOOBSStyle Ref. I'd say too much AA, MLC. Then again, what do I know about pixel art.

Re: Art Dump
I haven't used Bryce to create a landscape in a while: Snow was put in after the render.

Re: Art Dump
Geti: I see what you mean. I've seen his art before, but I hadn't associated it with that name.
Matty: Looks kinda good, but the shadows seem a little harsh. I haven't seen snow in my life (desert and all) but I think it's a bit shinier and more reflective than that.

Re: Art Dump
That depends VERY on where the sun is, and by the looks of it, the sun is on the middle left of the picture. Snow isn't very reflective really, but it's shadows are more blue.

Re: Art Dump
I think that's the best the shadows will get, unfortunately. They can be a lot sharper. I rendered it in Premium mode i think, Bryce doesn't let you mess with the deep render settings as far as i know, only certain ones like DoF, Soft shadows, blurry transmissions (reflections), ect. in Premium.
Although if i make the snow's texture have slight blue ambience, it might give it blueish shadows.

Should try to screw around in Terragen, Ive only used it once and got this

Re: Art Dump
I have. But could never get anything like that. For some reason i could never render. I probably didn't mess with it enough. Now, Vue, on the other hand... INFINITE PROCEDURAL PLANES The clouds are not very soft, i have another version of this, but it's already in this thread.

Attachment: Buns2(TLBedit).bmp Against a dark background it looks fine, but if you put it against a lighter background, your shading looks extremely heavy. That said, I have to agree that moving her breast 1px left makes it look a lot more natural. EDIT: Oh, also, living in an area covered in snow for large parts of the year, I have to say that the shadows in matty's picture actually look quite realistic. When snow whips up into tufts like that, it actually projects a pretty sharp shadow.

Terragens got that aswell, I just screwed around again, this time with colours and a random seed. Ive never quite mastered colours just yet and I gotta have the settings low otherwise it will take days to get a Super HD render. What I want to do is use terragen to get planets. Never quite figured out how to do it. Ment to look epic from what ive read, 3d landscapes from orbit.

Re: Art Dump
As in the terrain projected onto a sphere? Or just mass expanses of land on a plane?
