I like the sort of cartoon-y feel it has.

I love the shading, and the proportions seem perfectly fine.

One thing though, you still need some darker colors on soldier dude. :<

Honestly, I think you need to do something other than soldiers or landscapes.
You should literally do some pornography, or something else really different, like portraits or something.

You've pretty much got clothe/fatigues down, you need to work on other things, definitely.

I like that you didn't notice anything wrong with his face, I'm not happy with the 'cartoony feel' however, I'll have to get rid of that. And yeah, I figured the gun was small, M1 Carbines are pretty small but that one is too small.

@Pete: pornography? I live with my mum and brothers and have no lock on my door. Portraits sound like a good idea though.

It's... Beautiful...

I recently had the pleasure of playing with a tablet. It's interesting. But I kinda suck at it. The guy has lent it to me and I'll see what kind of interesting things I can do with it.

Everybody believes they will be able to improve their skills faster with a tablet, honestly I think it all depends on if you have past experience with a pen or pencil, if not, a tablet has practically no advantage to a mouse. Anyway, the pose is a bit strange but I like the face.

Purty colors...


The nose and lips look kind of off to me on the "random bald guy"...

The nose seems lopsided and slightly... bubbly? No no no, puffy.
And the lips... the sides look strange.


EDIT: and the forehead lacks form. (On second thought the top of his head just looks unfinished in general.)

The rest of the face kicks ass though.

EDIT2: The chin seems a little wide. (Maybe I should have spent more time looking at it the first time?)

outlines on the left face are too strong, I think.
