I need to do more landscapes.

Ze poze, eet iz boring.

Le gasp! Yea the poses aren't my best, kind of rushed stuff, still trying to get a hang of relying on mental image rather than references (aside form the gun). I don't see what you mean by contrast though, what needs more contrast?

The whole thing is kind of... mid toned. There are no especially dark or light colors, which not only makes the picture seem flat, but most importantly it makes the character seem uninteresting and boring, like he's fading into the background.

Also I just realized his left foot is about twice the size of his right.

I was thinking "overcast clouds" when I drew it, I sort of blame that for the lack of good strong shadows.

About the feet, you sure it's not just the angle of the foot? Ah, whatever, the effort I put into it isn't even worth your helpful and detailed criticism.

Capital idea my good man.

-Added sharper shadows to face, great-coat, and boots
-Changed boots and stance (hopefully giving him the illusion of walking)
-Small highlights to rifle and great-coat (at the risk of it looking plastic)
-Few other small details, the darkest green on the greatcoat was obviously rushed beyond belief.

Is it just me, or...

Anyway, I like it! Definitely a more active pose!

One obvious problem to me though is his left arm, it looks like the sleeve starts out at the shoulder being tiny, and slowly grows to a large size. It also seems longer...

I don't see much of a resemblance. Looks good, though. I think you may have gone a little overboard with the right arm though. Do you post these on any other forums? You should go to Pixelation or PixelJoint or something.

His head is tiny.
