Post Survival Guide to CC
[center]YOUR GUIDE TO SURVIVING in the game of CORTEX COMMAND
I will add pictures later for you guys.
Some may sound obvious but all are essential under their given circumstances. Feel free to add more

Image

1) Make sure you always have an additional weapon that is reloaded.
2) Keep out of the air when a ship is going down.
3) Take cover from near by exploding ships.
4) Never overload yourself when in possession of bombs.
5) It is advised not to throw bombs at targets while under fire by them.
6 Be aware of the activities those near you. They may be no danger now, but later they may end up shooting you in the back.
7) Maintain stable flight patterns and re-stabilize your self before things get out of hand.
8 )When out of control during flight go for the ground by immediately abandoning all jet pack use. This avoids further loss of control that may result in possible death.
9) Aim well, make each shot count.
10) NEVER shoot at a ship that is above your height.

I personally use erratic flight patterns, knowing I can restabilise later. It means I hit the enemy more than they hit me. Also, when at decent range from an enemy, when you run dry reload and drop the weapon. Pull another weapon and run 'til dry. The other weapon continues to reload on the ground. Wash rinse repeat.

FFFFF-
Bloody posting lag. My browser showed 0 b/s so I pressed the button again.
EDIT: Also, drop bombs on top of Dropship Mk1s, but not dummy dropships. On the Mk1 it generally falls to rest in the little nook between it and the engine, generally removing it. On a dummy it just does some damage or falls off.

So exploit bugs?

Don't attack dummy dropships, and shoot enemies from farther than they can see you.

AND AVOID DREADNAUTS - Getting near them and then running away without finding immediately available cover is very dangerous (They have buggily long sight range, and they shoot farther than their scope by A LOT)

Lets hope the bug remains in the next build.
Best way to take down an unguarded Dreadnought if your not something light and plastic like a dummy, fall on it.

Actually dummies are the best for that job.
They have a pretty high gibimpulselimit. All you have to do is jetpack into that dreadnought.

-Aim for the head. It is one of your advantages over the AI.
-You can see across the battlefield. There's no shame in suppressive fire from beyond sight range.

Strangly enough the dummies head is extreamely vounrable, i would have thought a robots head to be stronger scince the desighn is not as limmited as a meat humanoids. Maybe data could make the dummy just loose all sense of sight and direction once its head is taken off because the controller chip can be planted in the torso. Headless dummy walking blindly in a direction fireing madly around him befor crashng to the ground, fun.

Head loss is hardcoded to cause rapid health loss, currently. You could possibly make the breakwound exactly counter this though. Or you could use the Head Clone method and just have a seperate actual head.

<3 the style of the dummies in the OP image. All fairly true. Still, B- for execution.
